I liked the price of this item. I’ve been using an ancient Kenmore Progressive for a long time and got fed up with its ear-ringingly loud motor, the constant smell of burning plastic and rubber, the slow loss of all attachments (how does that even happen?) and finally, yet another broken beater bar that was going to cost $45 plus shipping. So I made the fateful and ridiculously adult decision to buy a NEW vacuum cleaner. It felt very grown up (I’m over 40).
First impression upon removing from the box – wow, what a lot of plastic. It seems flimsy in comparison to the old Kenmore I’ve been dragging around the house for a decade. Much lighter weight. Not built to last. Easier to handle though, due to the swivel feature, lightweight housing, and more ergonomic handle.
It was easy to assemble once I figured out where the included screws were supposed to go to bolt the handle in place – the diagram does not show them, but the bolt holes are on either side of the handle and can be viewed from above versus in front of the machine.
In about 10 minutes I read the instruction manual and installed all the attachments, minus the pet corner tool which does not stow on the machine. I noticed that the hose extension attachment is loose, and the hose extender piece arrived with a burned edge. It still functioned fine, so it wasn’t worth sending back the whole appliance for.
I turned it on. Loud, but not oppressively so. It cleans beautifully. The low profile head makes it easy to scoot under furniture. The TurboPet attachment is great for getting the floor underneath dressers and coffee tables where the other vac can’t reach. It was less happy to be dragged over the sofa to pull off any pet and human hair – the plush upholstery kept catching the rubbery blades of the attachment. I cleaned all the corners, underneath the rugs, the dust in the heater vents, the grime on the wall trim… Amazing to be able to clean so much more easily than before. I noticed quite a few times that since the product is so lightweight, it is WAY too easy to pull it over while using the hose attachment. The hose outlet should be located on the base to stabilize it, and since it is located mid-way up the vac, it gets yanked over, hitting the operator. It whacked me in the head a few times before I learned to pay more attention to it.
I watched the clear canister fill… and fill… and fill with nasty nasty dust, hair, and grime. I couldn’t believe how much was in there. Cleaning the whole house filled it completely up. I was glad that I chose to empty it outside in the garbage can, rather than in the kitchen. where the giant plume of fine dust that puffed out would have made quite a mess. I had to reach into the dirty canister to loosen the filter and clean that out. I noted prior to ordering that an upgraded model for $50 or so more is designed so you don’t have to reach inside and touch the ick.
All in all, a decent new vac for a bargain price, that I hope will last for a few years. My house looks and feels GOOD.

Read the reviews on this and others. Spent 300 on a vacuum and it has been total garbage. Too many moving parts is a bad thing for vacuums in general. So I bought this one for a few reasons. First reason is spending alot means nothing nowadays. I could care less what any sites say products today are disposable. sad because it is all about business and selling more. Not to mention bad for the environment. Second Bissell is a decent brand used to be better but decent. Third I wanted a vacuum not a space shuttle.
This one fits the bill because people it is all about the size of the brush bristles and the roller size. Now we have 5 yes 5 siberian huskys and no one ever stops shedding. I pulled this out for the test and had the box ready to send back when it failed. It did not it worked very well with the very worst pet hair of all time. You have no idea.
Now lets talk about some common sense here with some of the reviews from the yokels on the board. When you run a vacuum you need to listen to the sound it makes and if you do you won’t burn out belts and all the other horrors that might happen. If the sound changes empty the vacuum or stop and check things.
This is 100 dollar vacuum and it is a bit plastic in feel but it will do the job. Will it last 30 years like you moms Hoover. No and guess what nothing will. Them days are gone amigo. Also if you run this thing and pack the canister thicker than the density of mercury yeah it will burn belts and die in 6 months.
So some sage advice buy the vacuum and use it prudently and it will work for pet hair but its not a shop vac. Last thing….the vacuum roller does not rurn off when fully upright hence 4 stars. End of the world no but an oddity for sure. So do not turn it on and leave it running while you make a hot cocoa. It will burn your carpet. If this is a show stopper then move on.
But in response to the 1000 questions on pet hair this system very much works in a worst case scenario. Shop on.

I’ve had Huskies for decades. Needless to say, the shedding season (basically 365 days a year) is tough on vacuums. I’ve tried most machines (except a Dyson) and haven’t found anything that works well on coarse fur. This one does. The pivot design is a huge help in my place. The brush picks up the fur, but doesn’t hold onto all of it and become ineffective like many others. Dumping the canister is simple and clean. For the price, I don’t know if I could find a better vacuum. Shipping was a little slow, or I’d have given 5 stars.

Wow. I just put this together and vacuumed my small 7×3 dining room rug for about 3 minutes and well… the pictures speak for themselves. I have one catahoula pup that “doesn’t really shed all that much”… and this is what I got back. I’ve never seen anything pick up hair like this. Ever. Totally in love. My only complaints so far after using this once is that at certain points it was pretty hard to push the vacuum even when adjusting the levels. I’m thinking it just doesn’t go against the grain of the rug maybe? I’m not exactly sure. Once I switched up the direction I was pushing it was fine. So far I have two pet peeves… the pet hair corner attachment doesn’t have a spot on the vacuum. So it’s just awkwardly sitting on the ground right now and I’m wondering if I could make it a home on the back or side out of duct tape. Not sure yet. And then the handle is kind of annoying. It’s pretty cheap inexpensive plastic but it’s like they didn’t finish the handle almost. It’s got a big gap in the back that annoys me but it’s not that big of a deal. All In all I’m super pleasantly surprised.

This Cleanview Swivel Rewind Pet Upright Bagless Vacuum Cleaner from Bissell is spectacular in homes with pets and the price can’t be beat.
There are so many things I love about this vacuum that it’s hard to know where to start. I have 6 cats and 3 dogs and a lot of messy humans in my home. I have to vacuum daily just to keep all the humans from getting hairballs so I was excited to try this one. Previously, I relied on a Shark Navigator for daily vacuuming with a bulkier Kenmore for weekly deep cleaning and vacuuming curtains and other areas above the floor. The Shark has great suction and is lightweight enough to be easy to carry around to all the rooms but it has a fairly narrow brush roller so it takes more passes and it doesn’t have onboard storage for the accessories and the dustbin isn’t very big.
This Bissell is still lightweight but it has a very wide brush roller so it takes less time to vacuum. The brush roller is fantastic for picking up pet hair. Seriously fantastic. But not just pet hair – it does an excellent job of picking up fine dust and dirt – something the Shark isn’t great at. The plastic casing around the brush roller is clear, too, so you can easily see if you have a lot of hair or fibers wrapped around it.
This vacuum also swivels very easily so it’s much easier to vacuum around furniture. It maneuvers almost effortlessly.
The dustbin is clear and has a HUGE capacity. You can easily see when it’s full and just detach it with the press of a button, carry it to the trash can, press another button and it empties from the bottom. Your hands never touch the contents. It also opens from the top to clear any clogs there or to clean/change the filter.
There is a height adjustment knob that allows you to select from 5 different height settings and it works equally well on carpeting and hard flooring. I like this better than the automatic height adjustment on my other vac because that never works as well in my experience.
The cord is 27ft long so it’s a generous length. Bissell also offers this model with a retractable cord for about $30 more. https://www.amazon.com/BISSELL-Cleanview-Upright-Bagless-22543/dp/B07FJ4N2S7/ This vac I am reviewing is exactly the same model but with a manual wind cord. Personally, I love the self-retracting cord and it is way worth the extra $30 to me but if you don’t mind rewinding the cord onto the vacuum when you’re done, this one is an excellent buy because the vacuum works so well.
I also love that the power button is bright red and can be pressed with your foot. It’s easy to distinguish from the other buttons.
You get 5 attachments and hallelujah, they all store onboard. Attachments are only useful if you can find them when you need them so I love onboard storage. You get an extension wand, a long crevice tool, a dusting brush, a pet hair corner tool, and a pet turbo eraser tool. These are not especially high-quality attachments but they work just fine. The turbo eraser tool is great for vacuuming furniture and pet beds and the pet hair corner tool is much handier than I would have thought.
It has a pre-motor filter that can be washed so you don’t have to replace it as often as some.
Since this isn’t a lift-off vacuum, it’s not super convenient for vacuuming stairs. The hose is a bit short, IMO, so you still have to move the vacuum up the stairs to clean them. Since my stairs are wooden, I use a small hand vac for that chore and it’s much easier and faster.
Assembly is easy, too. Just two screws to attach the handle and you’re ready to vacuum.
You do have to remove 6 screws to take the brush roller out for clearing away hair that wraps around it and to change the belt. I wish it had a hinged door instead, like another vac I have because I have several long-haired family members so I must perform this task fairly often.
Other than that minor disappointment, I definitely recommend this vac – especially for households with pets. It cleans as well as much more expensive vacs but it’s very reasonably priced.

OMG! I love this thing. Why didn’t I replace my 15 year old vacuum cleaner years ago. This Bissell cleaned my bedroom carpet in one cleaning. I have a Boxer dog, and while she does not shed a ton of hair, the Bissell sucked up five times more hair than my previous Eureka. My carpet looks new again. I can’t believe it. I’ve also used this cleaner on our wood floors and vinyl kitchen floor. With four different height adjustments, it cleans like a champ. I’ve been using it for a month now and highly recommend it. I love that it has no bags. Saves money. Easy to remove and dump in the trash. I like the longer than normal extension cord. The swivel is a great feature to get into corners and hard to get places. It comes with about five different attachments for sofas, corners, walls. Great price. Great product. Highly recommend!

I just used mine for the first time and I was shocked by the time I was done. About a week has gone by since vacuuming, and with one go over the can was half full! I seriously was shocked at how much dirt could accumulate over a week! After I was done I did a good look over on the carpet and there was absolutely NO pet hair!
Jonathan L. Taylor –
I took that picture after maybe 40 seconds of use. The picture says it all, but does not do it justice. I absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a new vacuum, especially with pets. My only petpieve, is it has room for every attachment except for 1..still a 5 stat definitely!

I was looking for a review that didn’t mention anything about pets. I wanted to know if the sweeper works good on carpet dirt and dust and not necessarily dog or cat hair. So I had to find out for myself so I bought it. I’m really impressed with how much dirt this thing actually pulls out of your carpet. I have carpet that’s only a couple of years old and it pulled a lot of dirt and dust out of it. That was very surprised. And one room I was able to get about an inch and a half of dirt and dust. And the same with the other room. The Price is Right on this thing and I would buy it again for sure. Hopefully this helps people without pets.

I enjoy my new vacuum cleaner. It works great and it is lightweight. Before buying this Bissell vacuum, I had a Bissell that was 12 years old. These Bissells last a long time. This new Bissell is great because it is lightweight, easy to use, and gets into hard to get places.
Techie –
Regardless of how clean one is, vacuums after a while starts smelling in an unpleasant way. This is a fact I’ve noticed with my previous vacuums, even after changing the filters and bags. I remember thinking, what if I could wash some parts of it? But it wasn’t an option. And with this BISSELL Cleanview vacuum, every part, except the motor area, can be washed with soap and water. Yes, from the reusable filter, to the dust bin, and the accessories, are easily removed and washable. Of course, one must wait until all the parts are dry before using them again.
The dust bin is large, and the electric cord is very long, the longest I’ve ever seen in a vacuum. Which allows for one to clean many rooms before having to empty the dust bin, or unplug and plug the vacuum again. Making one’s job easier and faster. I like how it’s simple to go from hardwood floors to rugs, these is particularly useful when the house has hardwood flooring covered with rugs.
And the included accessories are very efficient, and there is space to store them in the vacuum itself, with the exception of the pet turboeraser tool. This is like a tiny vacuum in itself, it has a brush made with rubber to catch hair more easily, and it can be taken apart to clean it entirely. Of the included tools, my favorite it’s the pet hair corner tool, which like its name says, it is made for cleaning corners, and stairs too.
The fact that it doesn’t use replaceable bags is a money saver, and it’s a powerful vacuum with lots of suction, and while it’s a little noisy, it cleans so well, and easy, that I don’t care about it being loud.

I got this from my parents for Christmas. I used to have the Shark vacuum. Long story short, after having my Shark 2 years, it has lost suction like no other. I wanted this one because I read the reviews for it and we have a cat and a dog that both shed. I vacuumed my home Monday morning with my Shark. Now, with little activity I vacuumed today with my new Bissell. There was SO much dirt and gunk I got up just vacuuming my living room. I am definitely pleased with this vacuum and will purchase it again in the future!!!

We have had our Eureka vacuum for over ten years but has lost suction over the last couple of years, I was going to get a eureka again when I decided on the Bissell, and I’m happy I did! I used our old vacuum only to clean just the hallway and went over it with the Bissell after, it got so much more! We have two long hair cats and it picked up all the cat hair that was trapped in the carpet so impressed I’m hoping it lasts! Also I want to add it brought our carpet back to life, it brushed our carpet nicely to make it look like new again, doesn’t look flat and dated.

It arrived this morning, this is the first time using it. I’ll update it in the future if anything changes.
First the pros:
Not that it matters, but it’s super pretty lol. It was really easy to assemble, and did its job.
The regular hose, the extension hose/crevice thing, and turbo pet tool are all awesome!
The turbo tool needs to be cleaned out pretty quickly, but maybe that’s just my place because 2 out of 3 of my pets are long haired.
The turbo tool even cleans my microfiber couch. Because of the fabric on the couch and the extreme amount of pet hair that I battle it can only do so much. I’m disappointed that I have to rub it very gently otherwise the purple turbo brush will stop. But, otherwise I did a pretty damn good job of getting most of the pet hair off the couch, even in the tiny crevices. (However, it would not work on my kitty condos, it would only get the top layer of hair off I had to literally physically pick up the vacuum to get the rest of it.) I’m honestly shocked at the amount of hair it got off the couch. I even emptied the canister after vacuuming the floor (before I did the couch) just to see what was all on my couch. That’s the canister that you see in the picture.
The suction was really good, my old vacuum broke about 3 weeks ago so I had to go over my place three times, (plus it didn’t pick up everything, read the cons) but for the work that it had to do, even on the third go through it was still picking a crap ton of hair!
I’m not happy about the kick back though. So it picked up great…but…
Cons:
On the canister the “full” line is about 4 in from the bottom! I’m sorry, but I’m not going to empty it every 5 seconds. So I went ahead & filled it until it was about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way full and it seemed to work perfectly fine that way. However, if you’re a little bit confused and don’t know when to stop because you’re like me & aren’t going to empty it every 5 seconds then you’ll start to notice when it gets a little too full because it loses a little bit of suction. And that tell is fine for me.
I have 3 pets and my old vacuum broke a couple of weeks ago, it took me a long time to narrow it down to this one out of 20!
I was so excited for the pet tools, you have no idea. Well, unfortunately the dusting brush, and the little triangle thing? They’re garbage! Absolutely useless! Unless you’re picking up angel wings and eyelashes don’t even bother.
I understand it’s just two tools but that really upset me because it’s supposed to be a pet vacuum and the tools are important for hair and litter and such. I also noticed that it didn’t pick everything up on the first go. The pet hair/dander and fluffs I understand, it gets kicked in the air and then lands again leaving you to redo a room later. But, little pieces of crumbs, cat litter and dirt would get kicked back so I’d have to go over it two or even three times, I even tried changing settings to see if that would help. Which it did, but not very much. It’s not as much kick back as my old one, but still.
Like I said earlier this was my first time using it if anything changes I will update this review, but the thing I’m most miffed about is the pet tools.

I got this for ~$100, which is a good price for it, I don’t think it would have been worth it for much more. As a cheap utilitarian vacuum I love it. It feels like it’s made out of cheap plastic, but whatever it is, it’s the same material as my last vacuum, which was an utter tank. I never had a situation arise where I needed to kill a man with a vacuum, but I am confident that I could have with either (via bludgeoning I mean, I don’t think the suction is powerful enough to turn someone inside out, but I haven’t tried yet).
Pros:
– great suction power once you figure out the leveling. Gets pretty much everything.
– I’m a sucker for no-nonsense bulky vacuums. This is one is especially maneuverable for how bulky it is.
– Filter change indicator is large enough to be noticeable (last one I had was tiny and I never noticed it).
– Easy to use. I especially like that the power button is a pedal (hard to explain, but the use flow is just smoother).
Cons:
– Has a tendency to get stuff caught in the spinning brush, which will mess up the motor (creates a burning smell). Have to be really careful around rug fringe
– Bulky. I don’t mind this, but many people might…it definitely affects its maneuverability.
– Hair and lumpy stuff tends to get caught in the canister, so sometimes you have to pull stuff out. It isn’t difficult to do, it just can be gross.
Jerica Briggs –
When you buy this vacuum, go ahead and buy a pack of replacement belts. I’ve had this vacuum for 6 months and I’ve replaced the belt twice. Why? Because the brush head NEVER STOPS SPINNING. So you sit it upright, pull the hose off to get into a corner or do the stairs, and the brush head sucks up a shirt you didn’t notice behind you. Before you can turn around and shut it down, the belt has snapped. TWICE. Seven screws and some pinched fingers later (stretching the belt so the head fits back in place isn’t exactly easy) it works again. Frustrating.
As far as vacuuming goes, it works great and I love the adjustable brush head for hard floors & different levels of carpet. The spinning head attachment for the hose doesn’t work on dog hair but the hose by itself has plenty of suction. Seriously just make the head STOP SPINNING when the vacuum is upright. That’s all I ask.

Nice and light my wife has long blonde hair and this is the best for carpet and chairs. I have a Hoover upstairs will buy another for that floor too at some point good buy for your money

Great vacuum. Lots of power. Very good for cleaning up animal hair and bird food.
Have a long haired dog. Who’s fur it a constant problem. This does a great job of removing the hair out of our rugs. Also have a parrot. Who has a bad habit of throwing it’s seed all over the floor. Seed is a pain in the butt to get off any floor. My old vacuum would fire the seed out in front of it. This on does not.
Picks up everything that it has to. It’s very easy to empty. Just remove the bin. Hit the release button. And everything just falls out.
Now we come to the only problem I’ve found with this product.
The wand, it’s only 1 section. And only about 1 1/2 feet long? What good is that? Even with attached nozzles. It’s still to short. Way to short. It’s basically useless. Might be good for cleaning out your car. But this is a house vacuum.
If they have you a 2nd section of 1 long one. It would be a great product.
But as is, don’t buy it if you need to do anything more than normal floor cleaning.

I was a little weary about buying this vacuum at first because I have always had a Dyson and they are expensive so when I saw a vacuum for 99 dollars I was skeptical. I have carpet and marble tile at my house along with furniture and multiple cat trees, but no stairs. We have 7 cats and 3 bunnies so there is PLENTY of hair all around my house. This vacuum sucks very well, it only takes one swipe on the carpet to suck up the hair and the bunny hay and any other debris, instead of having to go back and fourth multiple times. It goes from carpet to our marble tile flooring easily with no effort and does not just spray the debris around on the tile. I use the corner attachment and the stairs attachment to clean our cat trees which are coated in hair and it came out SUPER clean, almost like having them new. If you are in any way skeptical PLEASE do not hesitate to buy this vacuum. The Febreeze was filter has a very nice smell while using the vacuum.

I have had this vacuum 4 months. Suction is good and cleans well. I have two issues with it. Any hair picked up (human and dog) gets stuck up in the top of the canister so when you go to empty you have to put your hand up in there to clean it out. At 4 months, it broke down. The wheel stopped turning and there was a burnt smell. I regularly check my wheel to make sure no hair is trapped around it and remove it. There was no hair but when I removed the bottom plate from the vacuum. I found hair wrapped around the belt (which you can not otherwise see unless you remove the plate). Once removed it worked. There is only one person and one long haired dog in my home.

Amazing quality for the price. Could not believe how much nicer my rugs and carpets looked after using this vacuum the first time! I was shocked how much dirt the previous cleaner left behind .Pet hair, gone! It did a great job vacuuming right up to the baseboards, and no more splattering out of the vacuum.
Love the swivel, easy to clean, easy to use.

First off I am comparing this to my Shark vacuums. I’ve been a loyal Shark user for my last 5 vacuums. My Shark stopped picking up the dog hair out of the carpet. I was one of those people who had to constantly use the side of my shoe to get the dog hair loose just to sweep up. I know I’m not the only one who has done this lol. Not anymore!
Pros: This thing has some great suction power. Way more than any of my Shark vacuums.
It picks up anything left on the floor without kick back. I have carpet and hard floors.
Wide roller so it definitely cute down on the vacuuming time. Which is a big plus. I’m a busy person.
Cons: The reasons I didn’t give it a full 5 stars.
I’m not a big fan of the dial on the bottom to change the suction power. It would be much more convenient to have it on the handle.
There is no lights on it, which it a little difficult to see in dim areas.
It does swivel but no where as easily as the Shark does.
Depending on your settings, you do have to put a little extra muscle into it.
Overall: i would definitely recommend this vacuum! Powerful vacuum at a Great price! Fyi…I bought the combo (vacuum and the handheld vac) and they both have excellent suction and do a great job! The cons for the vacuum are NOT deal breakers at all! You definitely get your money’s worth with this vacuum! Keep up the Great work!
