Out of the box, it’s fine. I have all faux-wood flooring and I have this thing set to vacuum everyday while I’m at work. Everything is noticeably cleaner. The mopping is kinda meh, but I wasn’t really expecting a whole lot so it doesn’t bother me.
However, where this thing really made my life better was with Valetudo and Home Assistant. The instructions for rooting it are on the Valetudo site (be warned, I had to use a CP2102 USB to TTL) and are pretty straightforward. You can even upload new voice packs (I wrote a quick script to use Google’s speech synthesis API to generate the required sound files). Now, my robot says in an Australian accent “Going back down under to get some shut eye.” and just scoots himself to his docking station under the couch. Who needs pets or a girlfriend when you have Dusty the Australian Automaton?
Mrs. Sunny –
I really like this little bot! It’s larger than I expected though, with a comparable smaller docking station, which I thought was cute. The battery life is looking promising since it’s new. I had it scanning my entire first floor, and it took about an hour to complete, with still 65% battery life remaining. Not bad at all.
The scanning function is super powerful, it will scan large surroundings of the room within seconds, and it knows where to turn, so it won’t constantly bump into my walls like the rommba did. This is definitely more innovative than the old roomba I had, I think the roomba only scanned where it paved, and was way more expensive..
I have mostly wooden and ceramic floors, and this little thing runs on them smoothly. The only thing is that I have a large rug in my living room that’s about one inch thick, the machine tends to get stuck on it, so I placed the area under restricted zone on the app (shown in red) to prevent failed jobs. But I mainly use it for my kitchen at nights, it gets the job done within 15 minutes, and my kitchen is about 150 square feet. I have to say, it does a very good job picking up crumbs, the only thing it won’t pick up is the potato skin that sticks onto the floor, but neither will my dyson, so I’m not complaining… I also like to start the job before I go to bed, with my bedroom door closed on the second floor, I won’t hear anything from the running bot downstairs. It’s pretty quiet, I’m impressed, should have bought this sooner. Five stars!

I have been one of the last among my group of friends to acquire a robot vacuum cleaner. I heard about such vacuum cleaners for about 8 years now but I’ve been resisting the urge to purchase one. I find that my friends who are usually fast to adopt new technology tend to “spend” the most money. New technology always get upgraded fast and I think now is about the right time to join the robot vacuum cleaner group. Most of my friends have stuck with iRobot and I think it’s all about their branding. They cost a lot but their technology has not improved a lot to justify the high price.
I was torn between the latest Wyze robot vacuum cleaner and this Dreame D9 model. Both has Lidar navigation but I chose this model because of the higher suction power at 3000Pa and the ability to connect to Alexa and most importantly, the mopping function. That said, I will most likely not use the mopping function but I like that it has the ability to do that. From reading the reviews of other robot vacuum cleaners that has mopping function, it looks like water might cause damage to the internal components. Hence, I don’t think I will be using the mopping function of mine.
I have used the D9 for about 9 out of the 14 days that I have it. It amazes me that it has the capability to map the entire house. It’s definitely smarter than my dog who still walks into closed doors. The suction power is also amazing. The first few times I ran it, I had to clear the bin multiple times. The vacuum has gone to places where I’ve not cleaned in the last 5 years. LOL. That’s how long I’ve been staying in this house.
Anyway, I’m glad I got this D9. Warranty ranges from 6 months to 2 years depending on the parts. I bought this using my Amex card for extended warranty. Hopefully this robot vacuum cleaner last for at least 3 years. I will update this after using it for a year.
Gadget Man –
The Dreambot D9 took 20 minutes to unbox and setup. Used the “Mi Home” app to launch.
85 minutes later, 900 sq. ft. covered, one mid cleaning battery recharge and presto the first floor was spotless. With proper prepping – no loose wires – not once did I have to untangle or adjust it. I’ve not used the mop function yet as I need to figure out to how to configure the bot for “no-go” zone during mop but “go” during no-mop. (i.e. I need the robot to vacuum the carpet but not mop it). To my delight when I came to empty the dustbin it was FULL! Great product, easy to setup, automate and run. One of the better mobile apps: “Mi Home” I’ve seen. Determining factor for buying this bot – Lidar, suction power, battery life, mop, price point.
I opted not to use the Alexa integration as it required me to (on Alexa’s device list it’s the “Xiaomi” option under vacuum cleaners category) connect my Alexa account with the login for the D9 bot – and at this point didn’t see a need to give a third party vendor access to my Alexa account.
Note: Once setup was complete and ran it’s first job, I went into phone settings and turned off location service, background data refresh, cellular access, microphone access. Also during initial setup, it would be good to record the bot’s mac address. With so many IOT’s ( I have over 40 devices) on home networks, it’s good to be able to identify the device in your local network. (I caught my old vacuum bot using data on a daily basis even when device was not in use)

I have to confess, I bought this after reading a write up on the internet and I was thinking it was going to be about 50/50 I’d be dissatisfied. This thing really works.
Our house is around 2400 square feet, mix of laminate, stone and carpet. We have a Golden Retriever who sheds fur like mad. It’s a job by itself to stay ahead of all the fur.
Our first use was, well, eventful. First, it filled up at least twice and it took me a bit to figure out what to do to get it back in business. Then I had to clean the roller. This is really easy to do, someone thought this out well. It was wrapped with dog fur almost 1/4” thick for the length of the roller and the canister was FULL. Once cleaned and emptied it went right back to work. Eventually, it managed to get beached in our laundry room, which has a small, step down, about an inch or so, and enough to halt the robot. My fault, I’d meant to close that door.
Once that was done it completed the mapping but, my wife had left her office door open part way, and the robot got beached behind the door and threw an alert that it couldn’t get out. I found it a few hours later but it had completed its mapping.
Next, I started doing room targeted vacuuming and if you keep it doing it’s thing regularly, it’s so much easier to do a deep clean.
Honestly, I’m impressed with how well this thing catches most of our dog fur and various other dirt/dust. You do have to keep things off the floor and out of its way, but this is an easy change to make and get used to.
It is a little noisy but it is a vacuum. It’s not annoyingly noisy, but on max suction, you might want to hold conversations in another room.
The app has worked as designed and is mostly intuitive but there are a few more things that could be simpler or maybe have more robust help.
I like this thing, it’s a real help!

Original review: I have mixed feelings about this robovac. I am comparing it to a different model made by another one of xiaomi affiliates that is also sold on amazon.
Will start with the good things. This vacuum appears to clean at least as good as the other model that I have that costs about 150$ more. It has Lidar navigation, so it is able to map the room which also allows it to clean in an orderly fashion. It appears to have the same bells and whistles as other more expensive models.
Now the bad. This robot appears to be less refined. Although it has Lidar, it seems to navigate by running hard against walls and furniture. It is as if it does not see them. Once it hits a wall it adjusts it’s course and moves along the wall. This is weird because when tracked using the app, it appears to see the wall or furniture infront of it.
Second, the robot comes with one map option only (although the description suggests that 3 will be supported in the future). As of now, this is not a good vacuum if you have a multifloor house, as it gets confused when moved to a different floor, and starts adding rooms to the same map.
Third. Although the robot maps the room, it has failed to divide the floor plan to separate rooms and was frustrating to do it manually. I kept getting errors like “the area is less than 1 sqm”.
I have not tried the mopping part thus can’t comment on it.
All these issues may be software related. However, as of now I do not think it’s a good investment. I will update my rating if the seller/manufacturer addresses these short comings. It seems like this was rushed out to the market before it is ready. I am considering sending it back.
Update 1: I am upgrading my rating to four stars. The short comings I mentioned in my initial review are still valid, however, I had more time with this vacuum and compared it to a different model (that has a reported 2000PA suction ). This vacuum seems to perform better on carpet as far as cleaning performance. I have no way of doing exact measurements of the suction power of either, however, the D9 seems to collect more dust at the end of the cycle. For that, I am adding one extra star. Also, of note, the vacuum is faster in finishing the cleaning session.
I was also contacted by the manufacturer to respond to the points I brought up in my initial review. They promised to address these in a future software update which is to be released in January. The manufacturer was prompt to respond to my emails. For that I am adding another star. If the product gets a multifloor map update, it will be an excellent product.
Update 2: I have had this robot for about a month now. Since my initial review, the robot received a firmware update that fixed many of the navigation problems that I detailed in my initial review. The robot no longer bumps into walls and furniture at full speed, but rather slows down as it detects an obstacle. I am still waiting on the multilevel support, and hope it will arrive soon as well.

Bought this last November, after six months, finally I’ll say I’m satisfied after the last firmware update and now it can do multi floors!
Pros: great suction power; impressive maneuverability; does not fall off stair; easy-to-use app; long cleaning time; auto return to charge after cleaning or when running out of power; came with water tank and mopping pads; useful virtual wall and no-mopping zone; decent noise level; ability to schedule cleaning at different time for different rooms; spot cleaning function; auto change to turbo mode on carpet (needs to turn on the setting); newly added multi-floor map function with the latest firmware update (up to 3 maps); and very reasonably price compared to some expensive brands with similar functions!
Cons: did not have multi-level function as advertised at beginning (this was finally fixed in the last firmware update (6 months after I bought it); the noise level isn’t as bad as my dyson animal, but I wouldn’t say it’s quiet (standard mode), you can hear conversations but need to speak up a little; doesn’t automatically steer away from carpet when mopping, you have to setup no-mopping zone (I feel if it can turn itself to turbo mode on carpet it should be able to detect carpet and avoid it when mopping, but I’m not an engineer); it used to get stuck on a lounge chair’s u-shape leg as it tried to climb over it, but it seems to have learned the lesson overtime, it has not stuck on it recent couple months; from time to time it will give internal error half way during a cleaning, took me a while but I finally figured out I need to wipe the sensor clean and detangle the hair on brush, so I guess it was a human error, but I wish it would give a little more information on how to solve the issue instead of only shows internal error; it does pick up a lot hair/fur on the carpet but not all of them (I have a dog that sheds a lot on a daily basis); the mopping function is useful, but it is not enough to clean dirty water stains; in order for multi-level function to work, you have to manually switch the map, I hope they can improve this so the robot can auto switch map after first time.
Overall, I love my robot. For all the great functions it has, I’m willing to overlook the few shortcomings. Now I really just set the schedules and let it do its thing, except when I have to physically move it to another level.
Update: after about 7 months of use, the robot got malfunction, it would not clean or return to the dock due to an internal error, it said to clean the main brush even though the main brush was new or even when I completely remove the brush. I emailed the customer service and was informed that their repair center was about to open couple month later. Although I had to wait couple months, but eventually when it opened, they did “repaired” my vacuum for free, “repaired” is on quote because I think I got another refurbished model instead of my original one. Now it’s been about four months after I got it back, it functions well. So I’m gonna say I’m satisfied.
Recently discovered there’s a new remote function in app, must from a recent software update. Kinda useful when spilled a bag of rice 😛

Recently my 2.5 year iLife A4s died. Tried cleaning it but still issue. Since I’ve been wanting a robovac with mop, I decided to upgrade to the Roborock E4 based on reputation. I didn’t want to spend more than $300. E4 seemed like the best option based on reputation. The iLife only costs me $140 but worked well. I was expecting much better perfomance from the E4, since it was twice as expensive ($270). When I received the E4, I was really impressed by the build quality and packaging. I read about how zigzag pattern was better than random pattern which was what my cheaper iLife had. Unfortunately, the E4 had terrible climbing threshold and very poor AI, I recorded a 7 minute video showing it doing the same zigzag pattern over and over again before stopping completely. It also had issue docking, would try 4-5 times, 50/50 chance it would successfully dock or stop by error. This was all on the first day of testing. I eventually returned it, really disappointed that a more expensive, reputable robovac could do so much less than my old iLife. I want to preface by saying that I have a medium-small condo (890 sq ft) with hardwood floors. I didn’t feel like I need an expensive robovac due to my basic needs.
After much research I decided the way to go was getting a laser/LIDAR mapping robovac. But it seemed all decent ones with mopping were $400+. Roborock S5 Max is considered the best in class but given that it was $500 and my poor experience with the E4, I passed. I was going to go with the 360 S7 Pro as it came under $300 and seemed to have good reviews. But after some more researching, I saw that the 360 S9 ($400), Roborock S5 Max ($500) and the Dreametech D9 ($290) all had very similar features, battery size, electric water tank, etc. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos, trying to figure out if there was some downfall to the D9. Eventually I decided to pull the trigger based on SmartRobotReviews.
When I received the D9, I was extremely impressed by how well the packaging was done. Dreametech is a Chinese company and it seems like they’ve learned a lot from the other more established companies. Setup was eeriely similar to the E4. They both use Mi Home app. Performance-wise, the D9 was able to climb the threshold that the E4 failed at. It was able to completely clean my entire apartment without stopping. The mopping was really good. Meet my expectations as certain spots were no longer there after it was finished mopping. Docking has been 100% successful. I love the perfect mapping of my apartment. The E4 didn’t have LIDAR and tried to draw a strange map that didn’t resemble my apartment at all.
Verdict for now is that it has exceeded my expectations, so giving it 5 stars for value and performance. Reviews have the S5 Max with better performance but at 50% higher cost. The long term verdict is still out. Hoping I can get 5 (?) years out of it.

The only thing that frustrates me is that you cannot change the shape of the restricted areas. The only shape one can use is a square. This can be resized into a rectangle but not reshaped. For example; an area or rug that is on an angle or oddly shaped cannot be sized and shaped to cover only that area. To cover an angled or odd shaped area, by default, some normal area to be cleaned must also be included in the restricted area. One can use the virtual wall tool but that becomes quite fiddly when trying to cover a shape. Some other robot vacuums apps have the ability to roughly shape around objects fairly readily. I know because I have one of them also. I am surprised that this machine is so basic in this.
The Dog’s Honest Truth –
If you have hardwood floors, carpet, tile and area rugs: this powerful little vacuum will happily suck your debris from each surface. The LIDAR makes it easy for the vacuum to maneouver around and not get stuck on anything. It will go in between the dining room chairs and then back itself out. The docking station is easy to set up and the vacuum will sense when its battery is getting low and return to the mothership.
This cleans under the toekick in my kitchen and all around the island so easily. We have 3 dogs and multiple feeding stations: this cleans up all the leftover kibble that gets knocked to the ground and for that alone: this is worth it.
We have used this upstairs and it has sensed not to go near the top of the stairs lest it fall down the stairs!
The cleaning brushes spin well and have never gotten stuck on anything. This learns the layout of the house and its easy to follow along and map out areas on the app. Setting up the no-go zones and following along on the app is easy to do. If you have a lot of dirt in your carpets and think that this will do a deep clean of months of imbedded dirt: you may be disappointed. You should use your big vacuum to do a thorough clean and then let this do a daily clean up afterwards.
The debris cup is not large, but that is the point. This is meant to be emptied every time you use it. You will see that, even after using your large vacuum, how much this picks up.
You’ll be happy that you have this!

I bought this product a few days ago and have used it several times. This Dreame D9 product is my second vacuum and first Dreame D9 product. My first vacuum cleaner got stuck on carpets very often and it also need quite often cleaning and replacements. I really like this one because it doesn’t get stuck on my carpet. I cannot even describe how happy I am with it now. The seller said that this cleaner could keep working for more than 2 hours and it will automatically recharge itself when it’s low and continue until the job is done. I have multiple rooms connected so this feature is definitely a game changer. One more thing about the App is the time control. I can set up a specific time to start the cleaning like alarms. It is very convenient because I can have it clean my house when I was not at home, especially when I hang out with friends and suddenly decide to come to my place. I have actually recommended this product to several friends. Another cool thing about it is able to control VIA Amazon Alexa voice control. You would have to rename the robot to something simple like “Vacuum Robot” so it’s easier to detect and less mistakes. I love the 3000pA suction power, it’s picking up sticky stuff from the kids.
You will love how it works. It starts from the edge of the room at first, then it creates the map (You can see this in the app). That’s just the initial step, it doesn’t do that after the first setup. Once that’s done, it will clean in the zigzag direction and make sure everything is cleaned.
I’m happy that the price was a lot lower than other brands and it does the same exact thing with the same exact features. I hope you enjoy the video. Grab one if you need a vacuum.

We ventured into the robot cleaning area 10 years ago and it was rather a disaster. To prepare the room was almost as difficult as if we would just sweep the thing ourselves. So, when this robot came on sale, we were not sure about it.
After the first run, though, we love it. The D9 robot is smart, maps the house, separates rooms into sections (you can assign names), and then you can decide what should be cleaned. Our robot is charging in the bedroom, and if I send it to clean the kid’s room, it finds the best way to the other side of the house without bumping into any furniture. Obviously, you have to keep the door open – it is not so advanced!
The mopping feature is also convenient, used mainly in the kitchen. The suction power is good – when you run it the first time, you will be surprised how much dirt it can collect from a seemingly clean floor. Battery life is more than we can use. Yesterday, going to a restaurant, I scheduled it to run 2x the entire house. By the time we came back, it was charging again.
I feel that we will still have to use a regular sweeper from time to time, but I would assume maybe a couple of times per year, rather than weekly.
A week later we are pleased with our purchase.

May 5, 2021 Update: The latest firmware now supports multi-level maps! The firmware is stable and solid at this point. The robot is an excellent budget-minded alternative to Roborock. Highly recommended.
December 29, 2020 Update: A new firmware was released over a week ago. I’ve been testing it and am happy to report it fixed the mapping issues I described below. It also doesn’t seem to bump into objects as hard now either. It’s a very nice robot vacuum now. I’m updating my review from three to four stars. I’ll change it to five stars if a working multi-level map firmware is released.
This vacuum could be a five star product if the software is updated. I’ll update the review if/when this happens but no firmware updates have been released for the vacuum since I got it two weeks ago. If updates aren’t released soon I will probably return it.
Pros:
– Fantastic battery life.
– Rarely gets stuck.
– Suction is really good.
– Cleans great, including the room perimeter.
– Very efficient at cleaning when it has a valid map in memory.
– Very quiet in the two lower suction modes.
– Much less expensive than other vacuums with similar hardware.
Cons (these could probably all be addressed with firmware and/or app updates):
– The vacuum must start its clean cycle from the base or the vacuum gets confused will map a “ghost floor” and start cleaning it, often in a very odd, inefficient manner. See attached photo. The only way to recover from this is reset the map and redraw any avoidances and other map customizations (which I’ve had to do many, many times in the short time I’ve had it). This is a bad software bug that needs to be addressed very soon.
– Maps can’t be saved, only the current one is kept in memory. Maps frequently get corrupt and have to be reset. Very annoying. It really needs the ability to save maps, especially considering the issue noted above!!!
– Doesn’t have multi-floor capabilities like the description says. Needs to be addressed soon.
– Even though it has Lidar, it bumps into things more than a Roborock seems to.
– Scheduled cleaning can’t be done for specific rooms – it’s all or nothing.
Family shopper –
Affordable and reliable robo vacs (and mops!) do exist! It’s like having a built-in housekeeper. This vacuum has a 3.0 LDS Laser System which is an advanced LDS laser navigation system that is fueled by an enhanced SLAM smart algorithm, giving the robot vacuum/mop fantastic accuracy, quick mapping, great capability of getting over obstacles and incredibly efficient route planning.
You can use it in either vacuum only mode or vacuum and mop. It has a 5200mAh high capacity battery lasts for about 2.5 hours – which equates to roughly 2600 square feet of vacuuming and 2100 square feet of mopping in one charge. The robot vac is programmed with an easy to use app, which let’s you set the suction power, water distribution, check the battery level, etc.
You can also pair it to Alexa and use voice commands, which is my favorite way to operate it. It is the only “person” in my house that I can tell to vacuum and mop and it listens, lol. There are 6 different cleaning modes that you can select from. You can have it clean the entire house or you can specify which rooms you want done. You can also set virtual boundaries if there are areas within a room that you don’t want it going to, as well as set areas that you only want it to vacuum and not mop. I run my robo vac every night when we go to bed. I sleep and wake up to clean floors, it is simply amazing!
Mark Dusek –
Very impressed with this, my second, robot vacuum. It cleans the house in 3 hours on one charge, the dustbin is large enough to empty once a week, and the mapping is really terrific as it can be scheduled room by room, pick a zone (like for cleaning a cereal spill), or do the whole house. One can adjust the rooms, like sectioning out the carpeted areas, which allows you to choose the non-carpet areas for mopping.
It can be scheduled along with a do not disturb time so that it pauses if it hadn’t finished and resumes when the time had passed.
Like with the other robots, you’ll want to pick up Legos that can clog the wheels, cords that can tie it up, and fabric that can do either.
The multi-floor mapping allows me to take it to my son’s apartment and vacuum there.
Jess –
Love it!
I have the mop attachment on right now, have it adjusted in the app to sense carpet and increase the suction and I have the carpets walled off as no mop zones, I can’t believe it’s mopping and vacuuming simultaneously! And doing a great job too. It stops mopping when it reaches the no mop zone and since it’s carpet it senses that and increases the suction. Seriously so awesome. I’ll probably use my Kirby once in a blue moon but I kinda think that if I just use this daily or every other day i won’t really need to use the Kirby very often at all.
Thought the mop attachment was a little chintzy at first but it is working well. I don’t mind a little spot mopping on super gunky stuff in the kitchen if needed. I rarely mop anyway because I hate having to sweep everything super well first. But this makes it no big deal at all .
Before it’s first run I vacuumed really well with my Kirby (mostly laminate wood floor with some low pile area rugs). It picked up a ton of dirt, dust, pet hair and people hair (three girls!) we live in the country and have lots of super fine sand that blows in and tracks in on my farmer husbands socks, 1 Labrador, 1 long haired cat and one teenage boy who doesn’t mind making things dirty. It has cleaned it all really well.
Navigates through our 2 different dining areas really well too, lots of chair and table legs.
The app works well to make the no go zones or no mopping zones. Can also make a zone to have it double vacuum it. Can schedule cleaning as well. I didn’t need to set a no go zone for the basement stairs because it sensed them automatically and didn’t fall down them.
What a great buy! $200 and it comes with the mopping stuff! I use only filtered water in it( we have hard water and I think the minerals would clog the holes and leave a film on the floor). I’m surprised how well just plain water cleans the floor.
I researched these for months. So happy with this one. Easy to clean the parts and pieces.
Always finds its base, navigates soooo well. Is super smart and the app is great. Don’t waste a ton of time researching, I did the leg work for you, just get this one! 🙂

**Update: This product is so great that I bought two! I recently (Fall 2021) purchased a second vacuum for my mom/dad. They absolutely LOVE IT TOO and rave about how it has made their lives easier!!
I wish I purchased this sooner! This product made my life easier and my home/floors cleaner. If you are on the fence, do yourself a favor and get this! It’s a bit pricey, but in the scheme of things and in comparison to other comparable products, it is a great deal!
I wanted a robot-vacuum that would work systematically, instead of bouncing around the house haphazardly. The lidar navigation allowed this robot to understand my home’s layout, without using a camera. I can now select whether I would like my entire house cleaned or just a specific room (i.e. kitchen, foyer, bedrooms, bathrooms, etc.) cleaned. The virtual walls, no-vacuuming zones, and no-mopping zones are great too, since you can customize your home’s cleaning. For instance, I put up a virtual wall, so it would not go down stairs and a no-mopping zone on my carpeted areas. The vacuum first cleans the outside perimeters; it then begins cleaning the inside, in a linear pattern that my OCD loves. The small bristles allow for the vacuum to get hard-to-reach areas and close to the baseboards. So far, the suction power has impressed me. I have yet to use the mop function, so I cannot speak to that. Honestly, the vacuum does a better job than I do, which is saying a lot since I am a self-proclaimed “clean freak.”
*I purchased this product in May of 2021 and am writing this review in May of 2021; if something drastically changes or my product malfunctions, I will update this review.

So like another reviewer said I saw this product on TikTok and have been needing one. It’s good for getting crumbs at the end of the day the toddler generates. I wouldn’t say it replaces your traditional vacuum but it definitely keeps your home cleaner for a lot longer.
– Mop feature is cool but it uses only water to clean so no solution.
– Map generation is good and I like zone cleaning.
– App is well made and there is an option in there to detect carpet to change suction power.
– Battery life has been great but I’m in a 2 bedroom apt with less 1000sqft
– Noise isn’t bad at all. Your average vacuum is way louder.
Overall I’m very happy happy with this product and this is my first one so can’t compare against others. I’m not too impressed with the mopping but don’t mind having it either. It doesn’t replace your tradition vacuum or mop but it definitely keeps your home cleaner for a lot longer.

I Ike how I can just hit the button on the robot and it just works. The app is a little glitchy. I couldn’t get it to connect to my wifi for a couple of weeks. I still don’t understand how to let it know what room it is doing. I just place it in the room and hit start on the app. It says it’s repositioning and then does it’s job. I would say it picks up 95% of the stuff of the floor. I’m happy with it for the money. The mop function…eh could take it or leave it. I use it mainly for my dogs paw prints after they go outside. It works about as good as if you took a wet washcloth and dragged it on the floor. Battery life is good for my size house. It still has about 75% the life after done one room. If I have it vacuum a room that isn’t where the docking station is, it can’t find its way to the charger, so I just carry it back when done.

I purchased one of the twin machine, I don’t want to reveal the product name, and here is my opinion about it.
We tried his twin brother first. We liked almost every feature but that guy is so timid. For us, it looks like it is thinking how to move. Just spinning around one position without making his move.
So, we decided to try this guy. Both has almost identical issues and problems but, at lest this guy, is bold than his twin bro. He just move around and clean the area rather than wait and spinning.
However, you can save your map with his twin bro. This guy doesn’t have that feature. Also the map corrupted quite often. But, I still prefer bold one rather than timid one.
