Mr. Wood –
I purchased this at the pre-order price. What made me pull the trigger was Anker is a reputable company with great products, and it featured a brush-less motor; which makes it run very quiet compared to the competition. This is my first foray into robot vacuums, and I am not disappointed. I read online that robot vacuums are essentially dumb the first week as they are mapping out the house for the first time. It couldn’t find the charging dock during that time frame. Fast forward 2 months later and this thing cleans a 2600+ sqft home in 90 minutes on one charge. The cleaning area it covers is only 1000ft with furniture. Finds the charging dock every time. We have it nicknamed as Knight Rider and it will start and stop cleaning when voice prompted through Alexa. Twice a week it comes on for a scheduled cleaning and it will finish right before my wife gets home. Happy spouse, happy house. I love it so much I’m buying it for my family come Christmas time, and will stick with this product line for the foreseeable future.

I thought it was time to upgrade my old eufy.. And wow am I in love! Not only is this model so much more quiet then my old one or anyone elses robovac that I’ve seen, but it’s hella smart! It actually maps out my apartment, cleans in a smart way and not (drive hit wall turn drive hit wall). Oh also never got stuck once, which my other would at least 5 times during a session. Money well spent!

Eufy G30 is a blessing!
Eufy customer service (THANKS JASON P!) sets THE standard that every company would aim for.
Have purchased many Eufy / Anker products over the years and, finally, one misbehaved. My call was quickly answered by knowledgeable representative, Jason P. and in minutes, the matter was resolved. So very impressed! The best!
If you’re considering an autonomous vacuum, Eufy is the right choice. I have 2 and they live invisibly under furniture, sound comparable to white noise, and really great picking up dust and such that you didn’t even know was there.
((I will also warn against iRobot. I was an early adopter and bought the first and second generation Roombas that died after “firmware update” made recharging impossible. IRobot could not have cared less even while acknowledging that their own firmware update was a “known issue”. Like a fool, I accepted a modest discount and purchased the latest and greatest Roomba a couple years ago. Ran fine for a couple months then crapped out. IRobot Representataive was beyond unhelpful (even disregarding warranty because of my floor color!) Roomba? never again. Spare yourself such aggravation.))
Eufy is superior in performance, silence and customer service.

UPDATE: Commendable Customer Service Experience
In early Jan 2021, my beloved robot stopped connecting to my home network. I worked with support, confirmed I was on a dedicated 2.4 GHz frequency and it still would not connect. The Eufy Support Staff escalated my ticket to the Eufy Technical Staff and I promptly received a message (even during the pandemic). Arina from Eufy Technical Staff was professional, responsive, and deeply cared about fixing the problem. It was a personalized experience complete with follow-up to ensure the problem was resolved. Makes me feel more comfortable shopping again with Eufy knowing that the company is willing to stand behind their product if issues do arise and provide a commendable customer service experience. THANK YOU, Arina!
Original Review
PROS:
– Incredibly quiet compared to other vacuum robots
– Low profile (i.e., height) allows it to get under all of my furniture
– Ability to choose the suction modes
– My cat doesn’t seem to mind it
– Ability to activate with voice via Alexa skill
– No problem transitioning throughout rooms and different floor surfaces
– Finds its way back home without my help
– Mostly straight carpet lines make me mentally happy
– Gets under furniture that is hard to vacuum under
CONS:
– It humps my livingroom lamp that has a low profile base just like any other robo vac would
– It’s unclear to me what the exact difference between max and turbo suction modes are
– Unclear to me the exact microns of filtration the filter offers
Background: I own a Dyson upright vacuum, Dyson stick vacuum, and mopping bot. All 3 were run two days before letting this little wonder make his debut. The Eufy picked up where these did not.
Looking forward to effortlessly clean floors on a daily basis!

Update 8/9:
Anker contacted me and gave me a replacement robovac that was a bit taller. The customer service is unmatched. It’s why I continue to use their products. Love the new robovac! 5 stars for their customer service.
I REALLY REALLY wanted to love this. I purchased the promo code before release. I absolutely enjoy the quality of Anker products. HOWEVER, this just didn’t work out for me. It gets stuck partially under my couch in certain places and it gets stuck under part of my cabinet in the bathroom. It works really well aside from that & makes VERY LITTLE noise. Wish I could stop it from going certain places. :’(

There are many small improvements to the previous generation of Eufy – the power button is now located on the side instead of the bottom, the buttons on top are actual buttons instead of surface buttons (that always got pressed while you were emptying), there is only one side brush instead of two so cord tangles seem less frequent, the double hinge design of waste/air filter is gone (air filter is accessible from main waste bin) and the unit seems a little quieter while vacuuming.
The biggest new feature is of course the mapping and methodical vacuuming vs complete randomness. Overall – it does a much better job than the last generation. I swear the first generation had a human sensor and would roll immediately to whatever room I was in to constantly bump into my feet! This one attempts to vacuum in long straight overlapping lines. The app will display a “map” of your floor in real time as the vacuum travels around. This mapping requires some processing time during vacuuming though – it will pause for a second or two after hitting a wall or piece of furniture before it turns around and continues. Because of this frequent pausing, it seems to cover slightly less ground than the original – it couldn’t quite finish my 1000 sq ft floor before it had to return to base. It operated for about 90 minutes and covered 940 sq ft before it ran out of charge. I did notice that there was a feature in the app that will allow it to recharge and finish the floor – that’s a nice feature that I’ll probably turn on. The mapping of the floor isn’t remembered – so every day is a new day. It seemed to take a completely different route the second day of vacuuming. I have no idea what would happen if I picked it up and placed it in a different room – hopefully it doesn’t trigger a self destruct mechanism.

PROS:
1) The short story: I love it. I’m shocked at what this picks up in my home every day. EVERY DAY. It’s nearly a full compartment of dust/dog hair.. I’m honestly blown away.. where does it all come from? My house looks and feels so much cleaner now all the time with almost zero effort.
2) MAPPING: I specifically waited to buy one that had an app and a mapping feature and wouldn’t wander in circles aimlessly. It’s satisfying to see it travel back and forth in neat lines and then see the map of the house and where it has cleaned, and to be able to control it remotely with the app.
3) SUPPORT: Eufy support is responsive and helpful (support@eufylife.com, or use the live chat option) and the reps seem to genuinely care about the customer experience, which makes me feel more confident about continuing to have Eufy vacs in the future.. especially as long as the company stays competitive with it’s features/price points.
4) PRICE POINT: I read a lot of consumer reviews/lists of best reviewed vacuums since I first started thinking about getting one of these and Eufy came up on top a lot. And, their products are competitively priced in general. I did get a discount for being an early purchaser of this model, but I think the regular price is reasonable, and these things do go on sale frequently, and this one will too.
CONS:
1) MAPPING: It does not remember it’s own map day to day, and starts over each time. It would be nice if you could save areas and direct it to certain rooms/etc. However, this is not a feature of this model (on an email with Eufy support I was told the L70 Hybrid model has a ‘laser navigation system’ with a radar that scans the room and saves a more accurate map.)
2) GOING HOME TO RECHARGE: It has yet to return to it’s base on it’s own for me, since once I notice it revisiting the same area it has already cleaned I send it home. And, then…. it has a very hard time finding home if it’s not in the same room.. I sometimes end up carrying it back to it’s room to speed up the process. This is a bit annoying honestly.
Neutral observations:
1) TUMBLEWEEDS: in a 1000-sq-ft space with tiled flooring and a few rugs, at first I noticed it blowing a lot of doggie hair tumbleweeds around on the tile, but as it’s gotten on a daily schedule it does a (really good) job keeping them at bay.
2) OBSTACLES/RUGS: it does a fine job climbing on top of rugs, thresholds, etc. Though it doesn’t have a problem with short/1 inch rug fringe, it will have a problem with longer (3″) rug fridge, be aware (probably true with all robot vacs). There is also a nice suction setting: ‘Boost IQ,’ which will automatically adjust suction power in between hard flooring/carpet, etc.
3) LONG HAIR: households with long haired-inhabitants need be aware hair will get wrapped around the roller brush piece and need removal. I suspect this is standard with robot vacuums, and Eufy includes a handy razor+comb tool to cut through the hair and it’s not a big deal, but has to be done probably every couple uses/inspect when emptying the dust trap. If it’s not kept up with it does have a harder time keeping rugs/carpeting clean, I notice.

Edit Edit (7/28):
I received a kit from Eufy today after they contacted me about not being able to secure replacement parts for the robot. The kit they sent me is part no. X002AO0L9P.
They also sent the following part numbers you can try:
filter:B07W6WF7BS
kit: B07W5VZRRW
side brush: B07CWSS5GZ
rolling brush: B07CWRQK6M
I’m guessing it takes the same parts as another robot and they just hadn’t updated the product listings yet and the person I first spoke to at Eufy didn’t know what they were talking about. Anyway revising my review up to the original 4/5 I gave it. The robot is still going strong and picks up a good amount of dust every day. I had planned to maybe reduce the frequency of the cleans but it is so unobtrusive I think we will just let it do it’s thing daily. It has got caught on an iPhone charging cable on 4 different days but the only way to solve that problem would be a divorce.
Edit:
I tried to buy replacement filters/brushes for the thing and they aren’t on their website. I contacted Eufy and they said “well it’s only been out a month”. Apparently the only way to know when they deem it appropriate to sell consumables is to check their website every week. Annoying, I want to buy some and forget about it. If your product is on sale then the consumables should be on sale, dropping to 3 stars until I find out they are available.
Original Review:
We’ve had the little fella for about 10 days now. It’s our first robot vacuum so don’t have anything to compare to but so far we are happy with our purchase. I paid for the promo code before release so did get the $120 off the price of the thing. I’m super lazy so it had a test ahead of it, but it’s done well so far and the whole house feels so much cleaner. I replaced the threshold from the kitchen in our home as it was too high for it to climb over, and it has got stuck in a couple of places. Our house is crowded with stuff so it has a lot to navigate around. Places it has been stuck: under my guitar amplifier, turns out the wheels are exactly the height of the vac so it has wedged in there; after getting wound up in a charging cable so be sure to keep all wires out of its path. I like that I get a notification on my phone if it is stuck so I know I have to deal with it. It does push up the lightest rug in our house but it just bunches it up and keeps going. It’s not a high traffic area so I’m not worried about tripping on the rug but for safety i’d be aware of rugs being pushed up. A heavier rug seems to be no problem for it, just bounces right up on top.
I have been emptying the tray every day and after starting off almost full it has reduced down to a much smaller amount so it’s clear it has made a big difference in only 10 days.
When I first saw the brushes it uses I was a bit skeptical expecting something a bit more robust, but it has picked up some things I wouldn’t have expected it to be able to. My wife’s long hair seems to get wound around things a bit so if you had a pet or a human in the house with long hair I imagine a more regular clean of the brushes would be a good plan.
The little map it draws is pretty cool but I find sometimes the map freezes during the clean and will not resume. The light on the thing says it is still connected to WiFi and it can still be told to do things but the dot doesn’t move on the map. It doesn’t interfere with the scheduled clean and it still makes its way back to the base but it’s a bit annoying not to know exactly where it is when you are supposed to have that map.
I was comfortable to buy an Anker product as I’d used their phone chargers and cables and I have a battery for my Nintendo they made and they have all been great products. When working in Germany I was evangelizing about their chargers and was told that their stuff is cheap and nasty. That’s not my experience at all, their products so far for me have been of good value and the one time I needed a replacement for a faulty phone charging cable they were swift to replace it.

I purchased the G30 after receiving pre-sale promotion. I was very happy with the performance of the vacuum with the exception of the height. Vacuum rarely completed a session without getting stuck under furniture. I really needed the boundary strips but this model was not compatible. After contacting customer service, I was immediately provided with a return shipping label and a brand new G30 Edge with boundary strips at no additional cost. Arina with customer service was incredibly helpful. We have lots of Anker products and are now big fans of Eufy as well. This G30 Edge has great suction and is relatively quiet. Battery life is 1.5+ hours before accurately returning to base to recharge before finishing the job. This is our first robotic vacuum and we have two large dogs. This purchase was a great investment and well worth the money.

[Update 9/21/2020]
So, it’s been about 3 months of usage and back and forth with Eufy Customer Service and I do have a replacement, new charging dock, and many firmware updates in the weeks since they reached out. While the G30 works, it’s still not my favorite device in the house. It’s just has an odd way of operating in a regular home like hitting a barrier (table leg) and stopping for 2-3 seconds, spinning 360 degrees, spinning 90 degrees, moving forward, spinning another 270, spinning back to its original course, and continuing cleaning. I’d love to look at the code that makes this thing operate or sit with a team of developers and make some recommended changes. That being said, the actual cleaning part of the device works well, so my robot housekeeper will stay in action!
I’m upping the star rating from 1 to 3 because ECS was very good to work with during the troubles.
[Original post]
Well, this G30 was ordered because I got an email from Eufy saying they were releasing a new vac and I could pre-order as I was already an existing owner. I thought, sure, because I wanted one for upstairs now that the kids have moved out for college. And with the features they promised that it was smart, used maps, did laps vs. random movement, I thought it would be perfect.
Cleaning:
About a week of usage at this point (7/20/2020) and I’m pretty bummed. I can’t tell you how slowly it moves – will post video when I can. It moves during the cleaning cycle about as fast as my old vac moves when it’s trying to park to recharge. It’s painful. It moves about 10cm/sec and gets VERY easily confused by the simplest of things. Because it moves so slowly and gets confused easily, the battery drains very quickly during the cleaning. Old vac would do our first floor (maybe 850 square feet of cleanable space) and would have power to spare. New G30 can’t make it off the carpeted area (12×22 ft) before plodding back to top off the battery. Then it takes about 2 hours to recharge after which it is set to go back and continue cleaning — BUT, it just goes over the area it already cleaned and doesn’t pickup where it left off. ODD behavior.
Recharge:
Slow and not smart. Takes a few hours, as mentioned above. I watched it bounce around the legs of a bench I have in front of the docking station, coming within 6 inches of the dock, and it still couldn’t find the dock. It doesn’t seem to have enough IR sensors around the sides to get an accurate picture of where the dock is and its orientation. Second case, I pointed it directly at the dock about 12 feet away and told it to go home. It proceeded to turn left and then work its way around the edges of the room before it found the dock about 10 minutes later. I’m going to try switching the dock with the old one and see how it works.
More details as I get them and I will try to post a video update in the future.

Edit: Changed to 4 stars because of a update that fixed many of the problems. 1 start because I can’t give it zero. The vacuum is dumb. It cleans the same two rooms over and over and gets stuck in spots older versions of the vacuum had no problem getting out of. It also has a really hard time docking itself.
I have never written a review before but I had to this time because I am so disappointed.

This is my first robot vacuum, and I don’t know why it took me so long. This one is very easy to operate and schedule cleanings using the app! The battery lasts a long time. My home is mostly hardwoods with some low pile area rugs, and the robovac runs for approx. 115 minutes before needing to recharge. It seems to clean in a methodical pattern compared to others I’ve seen, and I haven’t noticed it missing any areas. It only got caught in cords once (but that’s my own fault). It did well navigating past the stairs. One of my favorite features though is how slim it is. I measured the floor clearance of my furniture and realized other popular brands wouldn’t fit. This one is perfect! I do empty the bin and clean the brushes after every use (personal preference) and have noticed my house seems cleaner. I highly recommend the RoboVac G30!

[Updated 7-28] This is our first robovac, and thus far we’re loving it. We have two cats and two dogs, and have spent every spring watching furry dust bunnies gather under the furniture and in the corners, even with regular cleaning. I had a chance to buy the G30 on sale as an early adopter, and having liked other Eufy/Anker products, I took the chance.
We currently run it daily, and it comes back completely full of animal hair every time–which is both gratifying and a little eye-opening as we clearly had no idea how much fur was really floating around the house.
It’s thin enough to get under most of our bigger furniture, it’s quite quiet (though we pause it if it’s cleaning near us when we’re watching TV), and it’s been able to get over the thresholds between our rooms even though they’re right at the stated height limit. I expect this is in part because they have a rather smooth ramp to the top–if they were more squared off on the sides I’m not sure we’d have been so lucky.
As for the quirks:
1) Like others, we initially had some issues with the side brush sometimes getting caught on our area rugs, causing the vac to reverse direction. Two things corrected the problem for us. First, I discovered I had not been inserting the side brush quite firmly enough–it required a bit more pressure to fully seat into place, which raises it just a bit higher off the floor. Second, our rug pads were very close to the edge of the rugs. I trimmed the pads by a couple inches and then curled the rug edges downward, toward the floor to make the edges sit more squarely on the hardwood. That solved the getting-caught problem for us, so it might be worth a try if you encounter the same issue.
2) It can be blinded by strong sunlight. (See the video.) We found that it would sometimes approach places in our kitchen where morning sun was hitting the floor, and it would treat the sunlit squares as physical obstacles. Eufy support suspected this was because the drop sensors on the sides of the vac were blinded by the glare. Small pieces of tape over the sensors did help, but we instead decided to simply run the vac at night. (I’d also commend Eufy’s tech support for being very quick to respond and helpful.)
3) Our hundred-year-old house has antique furnace grates with relatively large holes (maybe 3/4-inch at largest). These holes seem to be large enough that the drop sensors occasionally get spooked and cause the vac to skirt the grates–not a big deal, but it does slow down the cleaning process a bit.
4) The orientation of the charging base to your floor plan seems to have an impact on cleaning efficiency, at least in our case. I had originally placed the base on an angled wall in a bump-out, which caused the vac to start cleaning at a diagonal to the walls. I didn’t see any particular issue with this, but after about a week, I moved the base to a nearby but slightly more hidden location on a wall square to the floor plan. Before the move, the vac averaged about 532 sq feet of cleaning per session as reported by the app. After the move, it’s averaging 672 sq feet of cleaning and seems less likely to get confused in the odd corners of the house. So experimenting with base location may be worthwhile to optimize the vac’s efficiency.
All in all, a good purchase, particularly on sale.

I purchased the G30 model in January one year ago. This January it developed a loud ticking and performance wasn’t as good. I contacted customer support, which turned out to be two weeks after the warranty expired. They were terrific. They immediately sent another that I received in less than one week and a return shipping label to return the problematic one.
I originally picked this brand because of the great reviews on their customer service and I’m certainly glad I did. I’ve been burned too many times with faulty products that do not stand behind their products or warranties so that has become a major part of my buying decisions.
UPDATE: Wow, I am more impressed with this company than ever! I just had a fantastic conversation with Alexandria in customer support. The robovac is designed with affordable parts & easy repairs that buyers can do themselves. They also have videos online for the repairs if needed. The side brush motor on mine developed a loud ticking noise. A new motor can be purchased on their website for $14 and takes just 10 minutes to install! Everything is consumer replaceable and their goal is to keep these out of landfills!
I had no idea this was the case so I thought others would find this helpful.

Rob is my roommate. He is the best I’ve had. He cleans up the floors on a schedule, he doesn’t bother me with charging batteries and doesn’t require me to break my back vacuuming. Rob did get stuck under the cabinet from time to time ( and gave up the mission) but we worked it out so that he can’t squeeze his way under there anymore and now it’s great. I can tell Rob to do his job while I’m at work. And he also jumps from the hardwood floors to the bathroom rugs with no problem. He is now considered family.

Pros:
– Fits under out couch and some other furniture, which previously served as home to herds of dust buffalos.
– Does fine climbing over transitions (carpet & flooring types)
– Is quieter than our upright Shark vacuum, so I’m able to run it first thing in the morning/at night when others are sleeping.
– Doesn’t crash into furniture or trim like I do when I manually vacuum.
– The app works well.
Cons:
– Occasionally seems to get confused and goes over the same area several times…usually under table around chair legs.
Other comments:
– We have fairly dark wood floors and this model works fine.
– We track in quite a bit of sand, have a messy toddler, and a small dog who sheds fairly regularly. I usually empty the bin daily, but it would be fine for a couple days.
– Does great at keeping carpets clean, but still need to regularly vacuum occasionally to deep clean.
Hobbyist –
This thing is awesome! This was our first robot vacuum. I had done a ton of research and watched a lot of videos before making this purchase. So I knew what I wanted, but this met and exceeded all expectations.
1. It’s way quieter than I thought. It’s hard to imagine what the noise will be like because you normally think of the sound a vacuum makes. This is much much quieter. We have no problem watching a movie as this thing moves around.
2. We have an Australian Shepherd that sheds constantly. The hair gets sucked up easily. It will eventually clog the roller. But it’s very easy to remove and clean. It even comes with a cool tool that makes cutting the hair super easy.
3. It only has a single bristle thing that spins. But the robot knows it’s on the right side and once it finds the walls, it makes sure to hit the edges with that brush.
4. It was also important that it didn’t just randomly bump into things because that’s annoying and not very efficient. As it learns it goes in a perfectly straight line and slows before getting up to the wall. Perfect.
I love this thing and it’s made a huge difference already!

Call her Molly. I have 3 BIG dogs, 3 cats, 4 parrots, 3 lovebirds, 1 sugar glider all inside the house. I have bad allergies and hate house cleaning. Way to many things I rather spend my time on. And a very busy life with my own ceramic business in the bottom of my house. So I know you’ll have no trouble understanding how bad a dust problem I had. Clean the glass top stove and 5 minutes later its covered in dust again. I could literally write my name in it just 5 minutes later. Sweeping the up stairs was a full day project and I seldom have that type of time. I also have a very landscaped yard and a hobby farm. So I broke down and decided to give a robot vacuum a try now that prices are more reasonable. My last vacuum was over $500 and didn’t last a year. To be fair the amount of bird dandruff, bird seed, dog hair, dirt dragged into the house from me and the dogs, cats shedding, has been terribly hard on every brand of vacuum I have bought. So back to Molly. I start her in the morn, every morning, and let her run until she says battery low, heading home. I clean her tray out after she is half way through the house and when she is done. You would not believe the amount of hair, dirt, seed she picks up. Well maybe you would with all the animals I have told you about. I keep a spare filter going. Every couple of days I rinse out the currant one, leave it to dry and put in the spare. Long story short. Molly is a blessing. Dust is no longer a problem, my house looks great everyday even with all my animals, I no longer have to try to set aside time to clean, . The lack of dust is saving my electronics from the problems I use to have and the mice who use to come? I love Molly : ) My husband says she needs a raise

It is like having a 2 year old in the house. She gets into trouble all the time, getting stuck in the same place every day, even 3 and 4 times within minutes. She has a hard time finding home. You have to keep an eye on her. BUT she does do a pretty good job of keeping the floor clean (the love part). I do not understand the navigation of this thing, it will go in a straight line then stop and go in circles. Some days she cleans the whole area, others she doesn’t . This unit only has one brush, which I did not notice, would suggest getting one with two.
UPDATE: Wanted to comment on the customer service of this company. My vac developed problems, horrible sound and error 4 ever few minutes. I contacted the company and they asked a few questions and wanted a few pictures and then sent me a new unit, it arrived in a few days and I was furnished with a return postage paid label to return the old unit. I am VERY HAPPY. with the quick service. Now to see how Rosie2 does. Thank you Eufy. Changing my rating to reflect this great service.

I switched to this brand after my iRobot Roomba 690 gave me so many frustrations I threw it in the trash! Right away, I noticed the EufyHome vacuum is about 90% quieter than Roomba. Eufy climbs thicker pile rugs that Roomba could not. Eufy slows down before it rams itself into my cabinets, appliances, furniture legs. Roomba damaged my baseboards, furniture, appliances, and cabinets. My dog hated the Roomba and turned it off with his nose, because it was so loud bumping over the cracks in my tiles and so rough running into everything. Eufy is so much more powerful and effective. I am so thrilled I made the change.

This is my first robot vacuum, and I wonder why I didn’t know how fabulous one could be? It works beautifully on wood floors, area rugs, and carpets. It disappeared under the Wolf range and the beds, and emerged easily. It takes itself back to its charging station to recharge and/or when it’s finished. I did have to pick it up and move it a few times, as we have a large ranch style layout, but that was no problem. It manages to maneuver around chair legs and other obstacles and the small brush does an amazing job of capturing dust around baseboards. I was amazed at how much dust and dirt it picks up from floors that didn’t look that bad. Highly recommended!

I have had another Rob Vac but this one has much more suction, and acts like it has it’s own brain…it knows when there is carpet and automatically adjusts (the last one I had, you had to change for different flooring) Love the map on phone that shows where the vac is in the house, talks to you if it gets stuck, and the best part is when it runs out of battery it goes back and recharges and then…this is the brainy part it remembers where it LEFT OFF OF CLEANING…and then continues from that point to finish a days cleaning! Love it
Ace –
It was bigger than I expected. Cleans like a dream. Everyday it picks up something. Am
I weird for being excited to see what’s in it’s little collection tray? The app is awesome. You can set a schedule, change the voice on the Eufy to your voice lol. You can turn down the volume of the chimes and call outs, but why would you if you used a funny voice (shrug). You have the ability to have it pick up where it left off if it has a low battery and has to go back home to recharge. You can change the suction intensity manually or it has a cool option to detect what type of flooring it’s on and adjust the suction on its own. The only issue I have run into is my carpet runners or mats. I have to pick up my carpet by the front door or it just pushes it and it gets bunched up. Same with my bathroom mat. I sometimes get distracted and watch how he goes around cleaning. It only supports 2.4ghz so be aware of that if you intend to set it up on wifi. It still cleans without wifi though. I clean the collection tray out every day, I can get away with cleaning it out every 2 days but rather not. It comes with 2 washable filters and a cool little tool to help clean out the filters, cut the hair or thread that gets wrapped in the brushes. Can you tell I love this thing? I have noticed a big difference in my allergies. I was using my big upright vacuum everyday and just got tired of it. The Eufy takes around 60 minutes to do a little over 400 sq feet. It does a better job than I do because ain’t no one got time to vacuum for an hour, I think that’s probably why it can pick up so much because it takes its time. It’s just a great little robot.

We have a 1600 square foot house, two dogs and not enough time. Sound familiar? Looking at robo vacs that cost close to $1000 just didn’t seem wise, buying something cheap didn’t seem like a great idea either, but still the idea of having to hand vacuum every day wasn’t appealing. After reading the reviews on the G30, we ordered one with our fingers crossed. What an incredible machine! It handles the harsh transitions from vinyl to carpet everywhere in our house, and we are amazed at how well it cleans.
We have a couple recliners that it can get stuck under but by using a couple door draft blockers (3 inch diameter cloth rolls- cost $12/ pair) around the back of the chairs, we don’t have that problem. Far from being a problem, the low profile vacuums places we would never reach with any upright. We haven’t been able to use the app because our internet is mobile phone hotspots, but I’m certain it would make this solidly built, reliable machine even more effective. The battery lasts long enough to get the whole house and return to the docking station. It charges quickly, we ran it twice a day for the first several days because it picked up so much our other vacuum missed. Now that it has us caught up, once a day keeps our floors clean. Using a decibel meter, it is around 30 decibels on carpet (about a whisper or slightly louder) and 50 decibels on vinyl (same as a typical office setting). I seldom recommend anything unless it is outstanding, and I absolutely recommend the Eufy G30.

This little robo vacuum is surprisedly wonderful. I was expecting to have to chase it around to clear it if obstacles and pick up after missed spots but so far after almost three weeks of it running each day I’ve only had to get it unstuck once. I thought for sure it would not be able to get around under our round dining room table and chair legs as the chairs even have lower stretcher pieces between the legs and nope she gets around them. The other thing I’m impressed with is how she negotiates around chair legs, pillars and any obstacle. I choose this model as it has the navigation so it basically goes back and forth and works from one side of the floor to the other using it’s mapping feature. Instead of the random bounce around mechanism. For suction power and cleanup is very good as well. I had vacuumed prior to first use as recommended and after she went out for the first pickup the dust bin was full. So she is finding stuff to clean. We have it just on one floor that is about 2000sqft and she can do it all on one dust bin I haven’t had to empty the dustbin midclean. She can’t do the whole floor on one battery charge so she heads home to recharge automatically before heading out again to finish where she left off (can turn this feature off if you don’t want it going back out to finish after recharging ). The app for your phone is great I think anyway. You can monitor where the robo is currently what it is doing how much charge, etc. you can also set schedules of course. There is a bypass to manual mode where you can direct it via the app if you want it to clean something more or clean something sooner then when you set it back to auto mode it goes back to where it left off and finishes. It is very quiet too even on max suction much much less than a regular vacuum and very easy to have it running while you are home without having to increase your voice level or turn up the volume on your tv. I find the boostIQ mode the best, where it runs on standard suction on hard floors then kicks into turbo suction (max is the highest) when going onto carpet areas. If it is in another room cleaning you can’t even hear it. So if it does have trouble or needs to head back home her voice can be set to different volume levels and it sends you a message on your phone also.
Now like I mentioned I have only been using it for almost three weeks so we’ll see and I will update if I notice any problems. But so far quite happy.
I should also mention that our floors are all hardwood with a few area rugs and tile baths. We also do have a dog with short hair that constantly sheds (main reason for this robo so I don’t have to vacuum constantly).
