I was skeptical when I was looking to purchase a new vacuum because this was so small and inexpensive. However, this one is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned! The suction power, ease of use and barely weighs anything have impressed me. You do have to purchase the tools separately but they were under $9.00 for the set. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
These are the tools I purchased.

This is the hardwood floor attachment I purchased. It was $7.99

It seems like a nice enough vacuum but it does not come with a crevice tool. The owners manual that came with mine clearly shows a crevice tool, but the picture is not of the same vacuum. Eureka confirmed for me that the new ‘improved’ model has a combination tool built into the handle, but this is just a brush that slides back and forth. It does not turn into a crevice tool and it cannot be removed to attach to the hose or wand as stated in the manual.. They did inform me that we could buy a crevice tool extra. If you have red reviews that mention the great little crevice tool, this isn’t the same.

If you are part of the cleaning army looking for a vacuum option besides the little green Bisell Zing, this is a great choice with a couple exceptions. The pros outweigh the exceptions though. The diameter of the extension steel hose is 1 3/8” instead of 1 1/4” thus requiring an adaptor to attach a horsehair dusting brush head.
The steel extension wand is far superior to the Bisell Zing’s plastic wands that frequently come apart from each other when using. The Eureka steel extending wand is excellent and easy to use. The suction is as powerful and the floor head converts from floor to carpet easily with a flip of a switch on the head. It really isn’t the best choice for carpets but it does a decent job of vacuuming the top surface of carpets. For hard floors, this is a great little machine. The dust cup is a little smaller than the Bisell zing but it separates the finer particles from the bigger pieces so the filter doesn’t get the big pieces stuck to it like the Zing does.
The attached dusting brush on the handle is okay, nice to have for a quick use but the bristles are very soft and it won’t hold up to heavy use. Doesn’t appear to be remove-able or replaceable so using an adapter for the extension wands and a heavier duty horsehair dusting brush would be the best option.
The reach on the main hose without using the extension wands is too short to reach above my head (I’m 5’3”) for cleaning light fixtures or ceiling fans, making the extension wands necessary for reaching higher places.
I’m pleased with this vacuum. It’s an alternative to the Bisell green Zing and since we can’t buy the Bisell orange Zing II with the steel extension wands in the US (only available in Canada), this is a great option if a steel extension wand outweighs the plastic one in your book. Just don’t forget the adaptor connection for the horsehair brush. I would have given five stars if the hose diameter was 1 1/4”.

I like it for the ability to use on hardwood floors. Much easier for a tall person than trying to use attachments on an upright. However, one of the selling features by the vendor is it’s ability to run on carpets. It does not. I can’t even get it to go forwards; only cleans if I drag it backwards. Made all possible adjustments & still totally worthless on carpet. Now I have to buy a new upright. Very poor advertising & product description.

I have been looking for about a year for another vacuum cleaner. I have a very nice Hoover Windtunnel upright and it does a great job, but I bought it when I had carpeting throughout the house. Since hardwood floors arrived and I only have one bedroom with carpet (keeps the noise down) it is not as enjoyable to vacuum the entire house with a larger and heavier vacuum.
So my search finally decided on the Eureka NEN110A Whirlwind Bagless Canister Vacuum Cleaner and I am glad I did. It arrived yesterday after ordering it only Friday, thanks Amazon. Needless to say, I had to take it for a spin. Here is what I can report for the newly arrived.
1. It is pretty. Yes, pretty; I don’t like ugly appliances. All the bells and whistles are great, but if the unit is ugly, then I don’t want it. You know what I am talking about, you seen other vacuum cleaners that look like they jumped out of a 1950 sci-fi movie. Hello, the commercial vacuum that is short, round and has eye’s painted on it, or the Shark Apex or the Shark DuoClean Powered Lift Away Speed Vacuum that looks like a tower that could easily fall over, or almost all Oreck. Oh yes, I know this may step on a toe or toe, but sometimes the truth is ugly and hey, this is my review.
But this unit is good looking, racey, futuristic even, and I love the color blue they made it in.
2. Power – plenty of suction power. As a matter of fact I had to adjust back the vacuum power using the handy built in suction adjustment on the hand. No problem with suction power.
3. Ease of use – this is were it really shines. It is around 8 pounds so it is quick and easy to maneuver all over the house. Easy to get down under furniture as the head swivels around, turning and twisting your floors clean. The dust cup is small, but so is the vacuum cleaner, but it is easy to pop out and dump, snap closed and your ready to go. I hate when people whine about having to empty the canister so often, seriously, why do you want to leave all that dirt in the vacuum for days. It even easily rolls over its own power cord. My Kenmore canister that weighed over 20 pounds couldn’t even roll over its own cord, it would get stuck and I would have to lift it.
4. The built into the wand brush and crevice tool worked really well also. The wand, the handles plug securely into each other and the vacuum with a nice little snap. Easy to undo also. The auto-rewind on the unit is great too, a nice feature at this price point. The power cord is 16 feet, but if it was possible to have another five feet would be awesome, but I am not complaining, I just unplug and move to another area and plug into a different outlet that is closer to the work area, after all our houses come with multiple outlets.
5. Lifespan, this is always the unknown, but the unit has a one year manufacturer warranty and I purchased 3 more years under the Assurance plan. So I feel I am covered. Time will tell and I’ll update these comments if something goes wrong and also if the unit keeps working just fine.

Great product, I just got it and used it to clean my room. The section power is very strong I wish it had spinning brushes but it doesn’t . Other then that it’s a compact product and am happy with my new vacuum

I just bought this vacuum from Amazon. The vacuum itself is wonderful, great suction, very lightweight, everything as advertised. I have one major issue though! In the section that ways “frequently bought together” it shows two different floor brush attachments. So I bought those also, at the same time as the vacuum., thinking that if Amazon is advertising these together, they must work with this vacuum, am I wrong??? THEY DO NOT WORK WITH THE VACUUM! So now I have two extra floor attachments that do not fit the vacuum they were advertised with! I think it is pretty crappy of Amazon to mislead a buyer that way. So I just wanted to let anyone else know that might see this and assume the same thing. THEY DO NOT FIT THIS VACUUM!!

I very pleased with this vacuum.
Pros: great suction. Like the brush attachment that telescopes down on the connector portion of the handle (easy to get to for windowsills and dust). Rewinding coed, major plus. Great for hardwood floors, vinyl plank. Lightweight. Bagless. Great for dog hair.
Cons: Not for carpet (not what I wanted it for anyway). The sliding suction adapter is in a inconvenient spot, keep moving accidentally (not that big of a deal). Short cord, use and extension cord (not a deal breaker for me). Could use a little more felt or brush on vacuum head, some may worry about it scratching the floor, I haven’t seen this happen to me though.
It gets the dog hair, lightweight, I don’t mind getting it out to use it. I’ve had uprights, rechargeable, swifter, cloth swifter type deals, an eyevac. My daughter and I use this almost every day bc it’s convenient and does the job. Can get under most furniture.

I have had the Bissell zing bagless for 3 months and, while it works, it is cheaply made with all plastic components. I don’t see it lasting long. I purchased this Eureka vacuum for my home cleaning businesses specifically because it has the metal parts. It is phenomenal! I love the way this thing works – suction is excellent. It is sturdy, even the plastic components are good, heavy duty plastic and not that thin flimsy stuff. I love that it is super light (I have to carry it in and out, up and down). I also really like how the arm is collapsible so that it fits in my cargo area better. OH and the best feature – the little brush attached to the arm – you just quickly separate the two metal parts, push down the brush and quickly vacuum / dust baseboards!!!! OMG that is a game changer!! (No more crawling on my hands and knees to wipe the baseboards unless I’m being paid to wet wipe them!)
Neydiann De Gracia –
I loved. Very light. Long electric cable. Perfect for small apartments with carpet and hard floors. I have a dog and he also collected his hair very well. I can’t ask for more, for that price.
BIS –
Cute little vacuum. Great suction however you cannot hold it while you vacuum. It breaks the seal between the bagless canister and the main portion of vacuum. Disappointing.
My least favorite thing is the length of the chord. IT IS SO SHORT. In our 1,000sf downstairs I have to change where it’s plugged in 3 or 4 times. So annoying.
My favorite thing is that there is no bag and that the chord zips back into itself. That’s cool.
If you’ve got a small space, hard floors, this vacuum is great! If you have anything else, it is kind of a pain.
Stacy Lane –
If I had only hard floors, I think this might have worked out, but I have shag carpet in two bedrooms, and it is just not up to the task.
Pros – it is light weight, the tools are all built in so nothing can fall off, the retractable cord is great, and it has strong suction.
Cons – it is so light weight I made it turn over on its side a couple times as I was maneuvering around, there is no ‘crevice’ tool, and the slide for turning the suction power down for use with the built-in furniture brush is easy to accidentally move, so all of the sudden you’re vacuuming the floor at half-strength.
Dianne V –
I specifically purchased this vacuum because the description said ” The whirlwind has a Bagless design and uses washable filters. Rinse the filters as needed and you’re ready to go”. I used it the day I received it and agreed the performance & suction was good for a vacuum in this price range. I also liked that it was light weight. Unfortunately, when I cleaned the dust container I discovered that it does have a paper filter in addition to the sponge filters. The paper filter is NOT addressed anywhere in the Owner’s Manual except in the replacement parts list. I contacted customer service and they said the paper filter can be rinsed and will need to be replaced eventually. Eureka is being totally deceptive to say this vacuum has washable filters and makes no mention of the paper filter.

Omg! Now we’re cooking with fire! I had an old upright vacuum that I had been using that was heavy, clunky, and finally falling apart. I got this hoping it would be a good fit for my one bedroom apartment. I just used it for the first time and CANNOT believe the suction in this little guy! I have hard wood floors, a few area rugs, linoleum in the kitchen and tile in the bathroom. This thing cleaned my house up in a quarter of the time it used to take me with the upright vacuum.
It’s soooo easy to put together and clean up is a snap.
Be forewarned though, the suction on this thing is no joke. It lifted my area rugs off the floor! I’m not bothered though because it picked up so much stuff.
I can’t believe I waited this long to get a canister vacuum. I will never go upright again!

Love this vacuum. Does the job as well, or better, than the fancy central vac system and accessories that came with our house. Super lightweight & easy to carry & maneuver. Got this because I had a shoulder surgery that was delayed several months due to the pandemic, and the heavy hose & attachments, etc. of our central vac were more than I could safely & comfortably handle using while I was awaiting surgery for several months and had reduced use of my arm & hand. Being stuck at home, the entire family all day, every day, and having a large, constantly shedding dog, things could get messy quickly and we needed to vacuum more often, so I needed something that was light, easy to empty & maintain, and would do a decent job. I also didn’t want to pay a lot, as I planned to resume using our central vac once I recuperated from surgery. This vacuum FAR exceeded our
expectations. The collection chamber is easy to remove/reinstall, open, empty and clean with 1 good hand and one not-so-good one, the automatic cord retractor was a huge help – it takes 2 hands to wind up a non-retracting cord, and it was so light & easy to move around that I was able to comfortable vacuum the entire 3 floor house – including 2 flights of carpeted stairs – and only needed a quick tap with a toe on the brush head, or to slide the suction control with my thumb, to change from bare floors, to carpet and upholstered/fabric items. I love the sturdy, adjustable length wand, and the way that you can remove the wand and brush head, pull down the dusting head, and easily dust things like ceiling fan blades, HVAC registers, shelves and window sills, etc. It’s also quiet enough that it didn’t scare the dog, and someone could watch tv in the next room without a problem. I would’ve given this 5+ stars, except for one serious problem. Apparently Eureka discontinued this model when the company ownership changed. There is nothing on their website about this model – no manuals, parts info, etc. and there was nothing in the box that indicated how to obtain a replacement for the foam filter, or for the foam filter holder, which has a permanent paper filter. Both get extremely dirty and need to be rinsed when the dirt collection cup is emptied, otherwise, they clog with fine dust, reducing suction and eventually, building up an unpleasant odor like every old-style vacuum bag you’ve ever emptied. However, there is only so much rinsing these filters – especially the foam filter – can take before they begin to break down. If they aren’t going to provide a resource for these filters, then they shouldn’t continue selling the vacuum. I have researched & compared similar filters from other brands and other Eureka models, and am going to try some that have almost the same measurements from another brand, cutting them to fit, and will remove & glue in new filter paper scavenged from an accordion-pleated hepa air cleaner filter, flattened and cut to fit. Otherwise, I’ll have to get rid of this vacuum when the original filters deteriorate beyond use. What a waste of money, and something else to clog up the local landfill that would be. Not to mention a real disappointment, because we love this vacuum so much it’s now our main, every day vacuum.

I got this to replace a canister vac that died at our cabin. I also looked at the Bissel zing which was $10 less and a cute color but it got some bad reviews that is was cheap plastic parts with wands that did not stay together. I decided to spend a little more on this one and boy am I glad! I tried it out at my house first on bamboo floors and some carpet. The wand is metal and the pieces snap together easily and stay in place. There is a switch on the vacuum head for hardwood or carpet. There is a control on the handle that slides to change suction power. This moved a lot since it’s right by your hand on the wand but not a deal breaker. The cord was long enough to do about 1000 feet first floor hardwood from 2 outlets. The canister follows you like an obedient pet or you can carry it around easily. The telescoping metal wand is excellent. Just slide the button and it pulls out to give you plenty of length to prevent stooping over the vacuum. Suction on hardwood is very good and the head rotates to get under furniture. Good on wood stairs as well. On medium pile carpet in upstairs bedrooms not good for anything more than a superficial touch up. There is no rotating brush so I think I will still need my upright there. If you want something for a carpeted home this is not it unless your carpet is very flat. Our camp has vinyl flooring and some very tightly woven flat carpeting that does fine with this style vacuum so I think this will work up there. I enjoyed doing the whole house Which just filled the cup. Extremely easy to empty and replace. Love having this cute little guy following me around!

Eureka Whirlwind Bagless seems to be a good choice. Very easy to move around the house thanks to the big wheels. Also I was happy to find that telescopic pipe units are being locked to each other firmly when fully expanded, so they wont collapse or fall apart during the heavy usage. The hose seems to be a bit thicker than usual. I’ve been using another Eureka model at my previous apartment and the hose had pretty thin walls which was making it very vulnerable to twists and folds. The vacuum is also more powerful than I expected, and the cleaning was a breeze. It is pretty easy to empty the container, thought not as easy as shown one the ad pics 🙂 I prefer to rinse it with water after every use to remove those tiny dust particles from the container walls and keep it shiny.
There is just a few downsides.
1. The suction control slider which is located “at your fingertips” is very easy to open without noticing. It’s funny that all the vacuums I used to have, unfortunately, had this issue. It is super annoying that during cleaning I have to check it all the time to make sure it is fully closed.
2. When I pick up the powered vacuum, I can hear the air starts to hiss around the container seams between the top lid and container body. The handle is basically a part of the container’s top lid, so I think when I lift it up, the lid goes off just a little tiny bit, thus making the container less sealed. It does not affect the suction too much, but it gives me the feeling that if I won’t put it back it could fall apart (it probably won’t, it’s just a feeling).
It would be great if Eureka would address those issues in the upcoming revisions, but I am happy with my purchase anyways.

I bought this to supplement my upright vacuum, which is great for carpets. However, it doesn’t have a bare floor cleaner and doesn’t reach very far under furniture. This Eureka arrived just today and I tried it in my bedroom, which has wood laminate floors and a king-size bed that has been impossible to clean under. I had cleaned under there earlier this week using a simple sweeper and a microfiber mop. However, I just couldn’t reach everywhere and nothing would pick up the dog hair. This vacuum has a nice large bare floor attachment and a telescoping wand allowing me to reach every corner under my bed. I couldn’t believe how much hair and dust was in the dust cup after cleaning up just three days ago! As long as this vacuum cleaner keeps sucking, I’ll be very happy to get rid of all the hair and dust under my bed.
Philippe Chavanne –
I really like this vacuum cleaner, which replaces a regular upright. The vacuum-cleaning experience is so much better: this unit is light, you can drag it easily across your floor, and best of all, it enables you to vacuum under your furniture with no effort! My wife was skeptical, she wanted to stick to the upright: now she loves it. The dust canister cleans up pretty easily, with 5 pieces to remove. The filters can be cleaned up relatively easily.
This is a low-price unit. I love the low price, but it comes at the cost of the quality of the handbrush inserted over the hose. The synthetic brush is almost gone after 2 months of use.
The other caveat is the suction: compared with our previous couple of uprights, the suction power of this unit is moderate. It does not remove dog hair from car carpets, for instance. It’s good for tiles, hardwood floor, even short-fiber rugs. But not for shintzy fibers with “hooks” like car carpets.
Lastly, better clean up your hose often if you have dogs and want to avoid the terrible smell that comes with decomposing hair and material that stay stuck inside the hose. We found that white vinegar would do that job perfectly. Hold the hose on both ends, and pour a good measure of white vinegar inside the hose. Shake well, flush abundantly with water. Repeat. Your hose is clean.
Overall, we enjoy using this vacuum cleaner. For the price we paid for it, it’s a good bargain.

Love this vac and will order another! Ingenious setup; just disconnect wand and voila, your baseboard attachment is ready to use because it’s part of the upper wand. Already have upright vac for deep cleaning oriental rugs so this light vac can be used for wood floors, stairs, corners, baseboards, and cobwebs. Wand extends on the NEN110A which is a plus… and it’s bagless. Highly recommend this product.

Hello there – well, I just unpacked and used the vacuum. I can only speak about the space I live in which is a somewhat large two-bedroom with hardwood floors, a few wool area rugs and a flokati runner.
Years ago I had a Sears Kenmore Magic Blue that I liked and have been looking for a replacement since. I think this is it. Overall, if you have an apartment, I recommend the Eureka Whirlwind Bagless Canister Vacuum Cleaner.
PROS –
*Suction is fantastic – and it is adjustable – it picks up on the hardwood and area rugs really well. I do not have pets but I do have long hair that is everywhere – e v e r y w h e r e.
*Also used it to dust wood furniture, windowsills, baseboards and soft furniture, upholstery with the included, attached tool and brush.
*I really like the way the hose, pole, extension and tool is all together. I guess the cord could be longer but it’s fine for me.
*The product is well-priced in my opinion. I was not about to spend hundreds of dollars because all of my friends who have, complain about their vacuums.
*Small and easy to store in a closet. Lightweight. Pulls along from behind easily.
CONS – I was on the fence about a bagless vacuum but I went with this bagless Eureka because I can wash the dust cup and filter. It is not as easy as it looks in photos to empty and I recommend gloves. In my opinion, anyone with allergies or lung issues, should use a bag model.
I will update if anything changes — thanks for reading 🙂
