Update: after 15 runs, he now makes a loud clacking sound (see video). I took out the rollers and reinstalled them more than 5 times to see if I could fix the issue, but no luck. His light green roller also appears to have a tear in it. In regard to cleaning half the room (around 200 sq ft) and then going to sleep, he revs back up around 5-6 hours later and tries to finish the job midday. Why is the battery running out so quickly?
Original review: I wanted to like this robot so much. Sadly, he cleans half the room (217 sq ft of cleaning), comes home to empty the dirt bin, and then goes to sleep and never resumes the job. I have him set to return to empty the dirt bin when it’s full as it wouldn’t make sense to have him continue cleaning after the bin is full with nowhere to store new dirt. The floor isn’t grossly dirty or anything, just normal hardwood floors that I swept before running Roomba. There are still little bits here and there that he missed. For $1100, I expected him to do as well as my 5+ year old Neato D8. Roomba Inc., if you have any tips I’m missing here, please let me know.

100% would buy again. We have had the unit for about 3 months now and although we did have a problem with one of the wheel modules the customer service with iRobot was amazing and they sent us a new part the wheel popped right in and started working again. We have a dog and a cat and you would never know with how well this cleans up. I use to hand vacuum several times a week but my floors were never as clean as they are using the i robot. The self emptying tower is super convenient. My dog who typical freaks out over the vacuum sound isn’t even phased by the iRobot. The app is easy to use and set up was a breeze.
