Amazing product and worth the price

I hate bagless vacuums but they are few good ones with bags left. I don’t want to have to feel like I need to sterilize it after using it around the cat boxes. And bagless vacuums always reek if you have dogs or cats. This bagged vacuum is great. Light and powerful and maneuverable in tight spots too. And the bags might be a bit pricy by they let no odors or dust through at all. I love that you can easily turn off the brush which is great for wood floors. Otherwise when you use it on a gritty floor the brush throws dirt all over the place. Not an issue with this vac. Hope it holds up. So far great support. I think I may have been one of the first to get it as a week after it was delivered I got a replacement drive unit in the mail as they said the initial supply was not quite manufactured to specs. They also sent another set of bags and a gift card for the trouble. Awesome so far…

Awesome vacuum But difficult to find replacement bags

I bought this vacuum for my middle school son to clean his own bedroom. He likes this product very much. here is his review of the Vacuum. The first time I tried this vacuum cleaner I could see huge upgrades from my old vacuum (Dyson). My old cleaner always made this screeching noise and that’s why I tried to avoid using a vacuum cleaner. My family then got another one (Kenmore) and now I feel much better when there aren’t any screeching noises. Another thing I liked about this vacuum cleaner was that it was in a bag and I have really bad allergy problems but with a bag, all I have to do is throw the bag into the trash can instead of waiting a minute so dust won’t get into my nose. Another nice touch to this machine is that its not very heavy. My old one was pretty heavy and I had to use both arms to get it up to my stairs, now I can just use my left hand and pull the cleaner upstairs, I can even run with it.

There was a delivery problem but it was not the sellers, it was FedEx. Great vacuum, easy assembly and great suction. I thought it would be lighter but it’s a lot lighter than my old one. I have no stairs so couldn’t review that

I bought 3 upright vacuums on Amazon and returned them all. Too loud. Too heavy. Wanted a vacuum with a bag. This was my last hope. I saw it here but ordered on the Kenmore webisite to get the 60-day return policy. Put it together, very easy. And used it. WOW. Very light, easy to push, good suction and the best part it is so quiet. So far – this is great!

First off, I want to start off by saying this isn’t my first Kenmore intuition bag vac and that I am a former sears in home appliance repair tech. So this is more of a comparison vs the old model and new model. I only took side by side photos because after all, it really is just a vacuum plus there are other great photos from other reviewers. So… In the past as a sears tech, I have taken apart and replace motors, broken pedals, handle switches, indicator lights, motor control board and the direct drive motors and brushes on the old intuition model. Let me tell ya. I repaired them on a daily basis but I knew that how it was built from within (sturdy) motivated me to buy an intuition. I’ve had my old one since 2013. No problems what so ever. The older model is built to take a beating and from the pictures, you can see the ruggedness of it’s design. Bumpers on the brush head housing, dirty/clean indicator and as you see, the brush housing is larger. The new one, off the bat there were a few things that bothered me. The hose just dangle, the accessories mount isn’t all that great. But! The new intuition is much more maneuverable, much more lighter, I would say probably has a bit more suction power than my old one and what I like most is it’s very versatile. You can hand carry it and the wand is great. Yet! Compared to my old one… Material wise, I’d say they went a bit cheap on the build.
The new one does not have a height adjustment or a clean/dirty indicator. Maybe I’m just more used to the old one still but I think the new model is a bit pricey for it’s build quality. But after 8 years owning the old intuition with 0 problems, it was worth it. Basically paid the same when it was new. I don’t like buying cheap vacs on a yearly basis. I prefer bags. Simply because, in my opinion, has better suction that a bagless. Yes, there are some bagless vacs with good to great suction. But! Let me know for how long that suction lasts without cleaning the internal filters ever so often and let me know how much fun it is dumping the dirt out and getting it all over the place. Believe me I repaired plenty of bagless vacs with the complaints of “not enough suction”. So to wrap it up… I guess I have to get more used to my new intuition. I love how versatile and light it is. The suction power is awesome. Only time will tell really on how reliable it is and build quality.
Update! I really wanted to like this vacuum. Had it for less than a month. The only thing that really started to bother me was the the bags. They got full really fast. Like less than a week of vacuuming fast. It came with bags and I’m basically down to the last bag within a 2.5 weeks span. It says it comes with a years supply of bags. Those bags will be depleted in less than a month. And the bags are $26-29 for 6. Do the math. You’ll be buying bags every month or so. My old intuition is still better. Only thing that separate the old vs new us the light weight and versatility of this vacuum. Other than that. I’ll stick to my old one. This vacuum is going back.

I have many allergies and really like a vacuum with bags. I also have 3 dogs and area rugs. This little vacuum is quite powerful and picks up all the dog hair off my rugs, as well as all the dog hair on my tile floor. It is everything I was looking for.

I had been a satisfied Kenmore vacuum user for 15 years. I changed to a different brand’s bagless vacuum 5 years ago since I wanted try the bagless technology . Now I feel cleaning the dust container is messy and I would like to switch back to the bagged vacuum. I like it has a sensor to tell me when to change the bad and the separation of the base to allow easy vacuum the stairs. I have used it several times, so far so good.

The canister vacuum cleaners (most Kenmore brand) are preferred at home in past 30 years. This vacuum cleaner seems to be a crossover between upright and canister vacuum cleaners. I want to give it a try. Through a transformation, it becomes a light-weight canister which is easier to use on stairs. I am also very satisfied with the suction power! My big area rug in the living room was completely covered with cat hair. This vacuum cleaner works better than my Dyson vacuum cleaner. In addition, it is generous for the manufacturer to include 6 replacement bags!

This vacuum really sucks! Super impressed with the power, weight and maneuverability of my new kenmore intuition! The bag allows for NO dust escape at all. My last kenmore vacuum lasted 18 years & I only let it go because it was too bulky & heavy.
Taylors –
Pros: so far I like the smaller size of the vacuum & maneuverability- easy assembly- very neatly packed in the box & contains a laminated quick reference guide. Good suction, love the hepa filter & bag.
Cons: I don’t think you can adjust the height…it grabs our carpeting too much which makes it very difficult to push & pull. It works far better on tile or harder surfaces… or very low pile carpeting. If I figure out a way to adjust the height I will update the review. Otherwise it seems to be automatically adjusted. This is an unfortunate feature and the main reason I gave it three stars. Also some of the parts are cheap plastic

I have been trying to find a good upright vacuum cleaner for years. Most are heavy, cost a fortune and don’t clean as advertised. This vacuum weighs about 14 lb., compared to my last one of 20 lb.. We have a dog that sheds a lot. This vacuum picks up his hair from the carpet and the bare floors beautifully. It has great suction which you can reduce if you need to vacuum small area rugs. It’s smaller size allow you to get into areas that I couldn’t before. It steers nicely over the floors. I haven’t used the attachments enough to give a fair review on them but it comes apart easily to get higher areas such as blinds, and curtains. It’s a very reasonable price. I know you will love it as much as I do.

Suction was strong….however, it has a very stiff steering. Very difficult to move. Also, impossible to clean any med to low pile rug…description is misleading in stating it’s lightweight….it is not. Waiting for return approval…

My review is based on a lifetime of buying vacuums (and being obsessed with finding the best one.) Here is a brief run-down on why this is the vacuum for you. Disclaimer, I am pretty excited about this suctioning home product, so buckle-up:
1. So simple to unbox and get cleaning in 10 minutes.
2. The stop brush function actually works on hard floors because the suction is so great that the dust comes up, yet can also clean the throw rugs thoroughly but not have them suck up into the machine. OMG! That is rare.
3. Be aware – this machine is in the medium range of loudness. This means if you have a baby sleeping, your afternoon will be ruined; however, it is not the loudest I’ve heard (like the Dirt Devil I owned 10 years ago). My recommendation is to be super pleased with the powerful motor and wear your earbuds and enjoy while you clean.
4. The vacuum’s width is perfect for my 1950’s two-level home, meaning that I have smaller rooms. I appreciate this size as I can maneuver with agility and not feel as if I am vacuuming with a Cadillac through my mid-century housing.
5. Seriously, the fact that this machine can transform into a stairs cleaner is swoon-worthy. I can now pick up the lightweight body as I clean and still have the power.
6. Finally, get this vacuum if you seem to be using a vacuum, Swiffer, shark, all to clean your home in the way you want it. I am here to say that I am converted to a single cleaning machine with this Kenmore Intuition. When I walk across my bamboo floors with bare feet, it is absolutely without grit, and this is something I still felt on my feet with Swiffering or Sharking.
7. The price point for this performance is excellent.
8. Finally, you should know that this is the first-ever review I have done for Amazon.
Happy Shopping, Friends!

Like most of the features but this thing is a bear to lug around … your arm will get a work out pushing it when cleaning.. But the cleaning is as good if not better then my Dyson Canister.. The bag removal and empty concept is outstanding ..

We usually buy a new vacuum every few years. My hope is this investment will last a little bit longer, because we spent about twice as much as we typically do – but that’s ok because this is the mack daddy of vacuum cleaners.
Pros:
The suction SUCKS – amazingly.
The vent blows UP instead of at the floor like other vacuums do, blowing the stuff you’re trying to vacuum away.
You can use this vacuum a million different ways – a canister, stick vac, upright vac, handle vac, and attachments! It’s like having all types of vacuums in one.
Cons:
It’s heavier than most vacuums I’ve used. My hand/arm was feeling it by the end of the vacuum session. However – if that’s what it takes for a vacuum that ACTUALLY sucks and has all these functions, I will gladly take it.
Wish the cord auto-retracted or had better storage
Wish there was on-board storage for ALL accessories (only holds 2)
More expensive than I would have liked it to be
We have had this for 1 week now – so no idea in terms of durability – but will update if anything changes my opinion!

I like everything about this vacuum mostly how light weight it is with maximum suction. The tools are pretty useful. Being able to turn the brush roll on and off at the touch of a button is handy. The bags hold a lot! I would have dumped my old vac’s dirty bagless canister 4 times by now and I’m still on the first bag. BTW I have a long haired cat. Now I can sit on my sofa again after using the small brush attachment. No regrets!!

I don’t usually write reviews, but since I always read others before I buy something, I decided it was only fair.
I have two golden retrievers, have pretty long hair myself, garden, and live at the beach. Needless to say, I have to have a vacuum cleaner that is up to the job. After two generations of well-loved Eureka “The Boss” vacuums, I was pretty sure I’d have a hard time finding a new one to replace my last one….
Okay, here’s the deal – this Kenmore Intuition BU 4022 is even better! I can’t say enough about how much I love it. It’s light but mighty, has the ability to become a canister, has a inner bag (A must), and sucks up hair, dirt, and sand like a champ. The light lets me see into the dark corners and realize that my last vacuum had not been doing its job. I appreciate that by pressing a button I can go easily from rugs to hardwood. The cord is plenty long, and the inner bags are strong material, so I can pull out the hair and reuse them to make them last even longer. The one thing that I still have to do is occasionally cut off the tangled hair from the beater brush. So, I definitely call this one a winner.

I own a fairly new bag less Shark vacuum cleaner. The reason why I switched from bagless to a bagged vacuum cleaner was because, when you go to empty a bagless vac in you house, the dirt and dander you just vacuumed gets back in to your home. So I decided to empty it outside and with the breeze, the dirt would blow on to your face, arm or clothing. Yuk. I could not take it anymore, so I have gone back to a bagged vaccum and I am so happy to not have to deal with the dirt in my face when I empty the vac. The Kenmore Intuition vac is solid and build nicely and very versatile. I am so happy with the purchase. For the price of the vac, I am impressed with the ease of use and great features and it has a great touchless feature when you empty the bag. You get 6 HEPA filter vac bags and these are the thickest vac bags I have ever had. I feel like the air quality is so much better after vacuuming with this vacuum. I would definitely buy this vac again if my mom needed one. I am a savy shopper who balances quality with price and this vac meets my standard.

We have a full size Miele upright vacuum. It has worked well for around 8 years, but as we get older it is very heavy. At almost 26 pounds, and costing almost $700, it has everything you would want in a vacuum except light weight. So we decided to buy a much lighter model. After looking around for many months the Kenmore Intuition came on the market. Looking on Consumer Reports, a Kenmore model was the top brand for a model with a bag. But since the Intuition is a new model, it had not been tested. It turned out to be a great purchase.
Listed are the items that are important to me on the Miele that and how they compare to the Kenmore.
1. Weight – The Kenmore is almost half the weight, so much easier to use. It doesn’t feel as well made as the Miele with its mostly metal design, as compared to plastic, but then again that is what makes it so light. And maybe what helps in making almost 1/3 the price!
2. Suction – Hands down the Kenmore has a lot more suction! You get close to something on our hardwood floors and it pulls it in. And on carpet it seems to really suck the dirt out.
3. Bag system – The Miele has a great bag on it and connector to install and take it out. Same on the Kenmore. The Kenmore may have a little edge here as the whole top comes off so you put it right over the trash and take out the bag. But that doesn’t really matter, as both machines have a bag that seals up as you take it out of the machine.
4. Hepa filter – Both machines have a three way filter. A great bag, a small foam filter and a larger Hepa filter. Same design and it works really well.
5. Light – Both have a good LED light to see under items. The Kenmore may be a little better here.
6. Removable hose with several attachments carried on the machine. Both have this. The Miele hose hard tube part will expand and get larger, while the Kenmore stays the same long length. I like the design of the Miele a little better here, but for one really important design difference. The Kenmore allows the whole top of the machine to come off and you can carry around the hose unit without the floor base. So this makes it 10 times better in using the hose with attachment.
7. Maneuverability – This is one area where the Kenmore falls down a little. The head on the Miele turns better than the Kenmore. The only thing that helps out with the Kenmore is that it is so light, but can drag it around anyway. So maybe a half a star better for Miele.
8. Suction control – The Miele has a knot on it that will turn down the suction. This is used for different rug types, and for hardwood floors. The Kenwood does not have this control. I thought it would be missed. Well it is on small 2 by 4 foot throw rugs. With the Meile you turn the suction down and you can go over the rug. You can not do that with the Kenwood. It trys to pull the rug up. I have a work around in that I put on the pet brush on the hose and use it at full power. You have to do the extra step, but the full power suction does a better job of cleaning these rugs. Like the one at our front door that get really dirty. It really cleans up this rug and makes it look better than the Miele every did. And you had to change the suction on the Miele for rug piles. The Kenmore stays on full power and works very well on any rug type. And on hardwood or tile floors also.
The thing the Miele can’t do is break apart and use the top unit by carrying it around. This is a real plus for us. We have steps that really didn’t get the cleaning before that we can now do with the Kenmore.
I hope this help others.

this vacuum works great and with the lift off power pack it is good for tight places. Love the no touch dirty bag!!!
So happy we purchased this vacuum.

I have owned Electrolux, Kirby, Hoover, Eureka and Kenmore vacuums over the past thirty five years, this Kenmore is the BEST designed cleaning machine of all.
We have two large dogs, one a German Shepherd (SHEDpherd) mix, both are in and out to the yard a few times daily. My previous vacuum, a Kenmore Elite upright, which cost well over $300 six years ago, did a great job on carpets. It was a dog hair terminator. The design, however, left much to be desired. Heavy, LOUD, hard to turn, a thick, wide head and poor attachment design made cleaning a chore, just like the Kirby (which was aweful on dog hair) it replaced. All the attachments use a proprietary twist lock. Well, in no time the tiny nubs which lock everything broke and the attachments fell off constantly. The last straw? The bag door hinge and latches broke, so I had to tape the door shut. Time for a new vac.
Dogs. You want a BAGGED upright. Bagless vacuums are disgusting to empty. Why would you want to be engulfed in a cloud of dirt, dander, dust mites and whatever else! I read reviews everywhere and watched quite a few product videos. Finally I chose this Kenmore and man, I made the right choice!
I am 75 inches tall and have back trouble. The tall handle of this Kenmore, swivel head and grip design are so much easier on my back! The compact head design gets in, around and under furniture easily. LED lights illuminate the floor quite well. Cleaning? Dog hair and dirt stand no chance! Impressive carpet performance. The hose, or hose and wand extension are super easy to release and use. The suction is outstanding and does not diminish until the bag is packed full. My previous vacuum needed bag changes at just 1/3 capacity to maintain suction. Filtration is excellent, what goes in, stays in. Little design touches show Kenmore actually had real vacuum users give input. Example? The exhaust air comes out the front and is directed up and away from the floor. No more having the vacuum blow away the dirt you are trying to pick up from hard floors. The easy to press releases for the handle, wands and lift away canister work well and appear durable. Also, for a very powerful machine, it is quiet. Your pets will thank you for the noise reduction. The Five year warranty is much longer than Shark, and the materials used to build the Kenmore feel much sturdier.
Bottom line: Excellent on almost every level, including price.
Irene_4_Kyle –
This is the one what I was looking for. The suction power is stronger than any other vacuums that I ever owned(including two kinds of dyson). It works incredibly good on carpet. Also it is not noisy. It’s much quite than others even my smallest vacuum. Design and the colors are very good too. I thought the moving of head was not very soft at first time but at second time, I didn’t feel that way, maybe it depends on how you drive. It’s neither heavy nor light. I’m very happy with this vacuum. My best vacuum ever! I won’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone.
Janet M Nilsen –
I LOVE, LOVE this vacuum. We have 3 long haired cats and are constantly running the vacuum. We replaced a Shark Professional that was OK but not as effective. The suction on this machine is much better, the swivel head gets under furniture better and it is so light it is a breeze to take up the stairs. It is just the right width to vacuum the stairs as well. Works great on hard floors and different types of carpets. Although some prefer bagless products I was tired of the dust when emptying and cleaning the filters. The Kenmore has a system of compressing the contents so bags do not need to be changed often. It has a light that lets you know how much the bag is filling up. We have had this for almost 2 months with vacuuming every day and the bag indicator is still on full. Attachments are all you need for other than floors as well. Great product at a very reasonable price.

I chose this unit because I need the Hepa filtration because of dust allergies.
The head on this vacuum is small enough to make it easy to store and operate. The multifunction portable mode is easy to use and does not lose power.
The only drawback is that there is no height adjustment for cleaning carpets.
