Pros: Over all works very well so it’s a very good value for the price. We looked at very expensive units in a vacuum store which have all the same features but costing $450 – $1500. The handle bends down low enough to slide under furniture. The swivel wheels make it super easy to maneuver.
Art deco style with good strong suction, picking up everything off the area rugs and floors.
Cons: Item description made it sound like ALL attachments (four came with it) would store on the machine. Not true which is a disappointment.
Two can be stored on the unit while the other two need to be stored elsewhere. Cannot store pet accessory on it as it it doesn’t fit snug enough so it keeps getting knocked off. Power cord comes out of side which isn’t a great design.
Sits substantially taller than our previous vacuum. Good for a taller person. When removing the canister, it’s a bit tricky to line it up to reinsert it. We’ll see how it holds up.

This Kenmore BU4050 almost makse vacuuming fun and not a chore. I”ve had/used several vacuums over my 76 years and this is by far my favorite. From my Mom’s Fuller Brush, to Kirby, Hoover, Miele, Dyson and now this one. The detachable canister is lightweight and easy to take on and off and makes doing the stairs pretty easy. The suction is great and even the dust attachment has great suction. My last one was a bagless one and I didn’t like it because it was dirty and messy to empty. It’s great to be back to bags. So much cleaner. I highly recommend this vacuum to anyone that likes clean floors but doesn’t necessarily like vacuuming. This is the next best thing to having a cleaning company doing your floors.

Great little vacuum. Works like the Shark Navigator except that it has a bag. The bag doesn’t appear that large, but it holds a surprising amount of dog hair and stuff. We prefer bagged vacuums since they are much less messy to replace and are better for containing allergens. It works as advertised in terms of separating the canister from the upright section, it’s relatively light weight, and suction is good.
We got the “gold” version because it has the anti-hair wrap brush — that works mostly as advertised (hair still wraps on it, but not as much).
Only complaint is that the Pet HandiMate handheld turbine brush is not effective for dog hair — the hair quickly gets tangled in the brush and turbine such that it has to be disassembled to to clean it out — better off using the simple brush tool (that’s why overall rating of 4 stars).

This vacuum is very petite it almost feels like a toy. Very lightweight and Maneuverable has strong suction picked up more dirt after we just vacuumed with our Shark Apex. The pet power tool does not want to turn when placed on the stairs for vacuuming. This is not a powered lift away like Shark when you remove the pod the power nozzle has no power . It is just like a regular vacuum it just lifts of the power nozzle to use as a portable vacuum . I feel like it did deep clean our carpets and did fluff the carpet up and leaves good grooming lines in our carpet. All in all I feel like this was a good purchase and satisfied with its cleaning ability.

The kenmore BU4050 has some nice features like nicely marked controls and full bag indicator. Has a quiet motor. But it also has some weaknesses. It is a small width vac suction area so not ideal for large rooms. Also the vent is under the silver cover on front—-when you tip the unit to use, the air blows directly into your face—-not great for those with allergies (note: I am 5’4. Maybe if I was 6’ tall like so many designs, it wouldn’t be a problem.) Suction is not strong even on low flat nap rug but does well on bare floors. Was going to give as a gift for a house with plush wall to wall carpet. Not now that I have seen and used it. Keeping as my upstairs vac for bedrooms and hallway where quiet motor and small vac head makes sense.

When asked by a daughter-in-law if i like this vacuum, my answer was, Yes! Yes! Yes! I Really like it on many counts. It can reach places like never before. The steering is great. Noticeably the brush sets up the nap of the carpet to set the dirt free. The suction is awesome. I don’t have to do an repeat coverage which means it doesn’t take as much time to complete the job. And the long cord means I don’t have to stop and re-plug. The brush can be stopped for cleaning bare floors. It is really nice.

I really like everything about this vacuum cleaner. The suction is great, the head swivels, the lift part is great for stairs. I gave a 3 stars for hardwood floors because although you can use the vacuum on hardwood, you really need an attachment to use the hose part so you can get in smaller areas. I was disappointed that it didn’t come with an attachment for hardwood floors. I believe that can be bought separately.

This is an awesome vacuum. The bag is large and can handle a ton of dog hair. The bag handling is great, just push a button and it drops in the can without the bagless dust bomb going off. The multi functions work great and it is easy to maneuver around the floor. As far as the rotor brush not collecting hair, it actually works. All good.

I like the no wind brush, and the touches bag , the no bag cannistors had to have been dug out with an extra utensil , as you could only preclude this by guessing ,Kenmore does away with this , its lightweight and the swivel head works nice

This vacuum cleaner is a little heavier than the one it replaced but does a good job on carpet and hardwood floors. It is easy to use and housekeeper liked it more than prior upright.

I like almost everything about this vacuum. It is a little smaller than I’m used to but it gets into some tighter spots and under things my traditional size cleaner could not. I wish there was better on board tool storage. It came with 4 tools and you can only store 2 on the machine. The larger one gets knocked off easily. I wish I would have gotten the 3-in-1 tool. I usually get higher end units that last 15 yrs so the quality isn’t what I’m used to and I’m not sure it will last more than a couple of years – time will tell. Overall it does a great job and I’m happy with the machine
