Amazon Customer –
So far I like my new Kenmore DS4020 stick vacuum. As I was assembling the vacuum I was trying to find where the small attachment included in the box was supposed to attach to the vacuum for storage? Also, the wall attachment the vacuum sits in for storage has a small attachment that can be pulled down and has a small crook hanging on it. Never could figure out what it was? Called the 1-800 number on the front of the instruction book (spoke with a Sharon) and surprisingly enough, she hung up on me? Go figure? Sure hope I don’t have any problems with the vacuum and have to talk to Sharon!!! Still wondering about the attachments I called about? Tried to upload pics unsuccessfully.

Okay, so I will start by saying that I live in a two story 2300 sq ft house with a dog, cat, toddler and my husband. I have a Dyson canister vacuum that I bought a year ago and it is just too cumbersome to drag up and down the stairs. I was looking for a cordless stick vacuum that I could easily use for crumbs or carpet or hardwood daily, because I am a neat freak. The worse thing about hardwood is feeling every little crumb or piece of debris under foot. I didn’t want to spend another $500 on a Dyson or $300 on a shark. But I was also concerned about some of the fake reviews that run rampant on Amazon. So I decided based on reviews that for price and brand recognition, this was my best bet and I was not disappointed.
Pros:
•Cute! This vacuum is so cute. I love the design and the battery indicator light.
•Lightweight! Wow, it’s extremely lightweight. I can maneuver with 1 hand. Easily do my stairs, whip it out to blast some crumbs quickly and vacuum my entire home without feeling fatigued.
•Great on hardwood! It does a great job with debris on hardwood. Gets everything up in one pass.
•Great maneuverability! The head fits under my couch, fits on my stairs, fits under my bed and nightstand easily. It’s amazing and getting around
Cons:
•Battery Life: now this is sort of a con but not really. Most of these vacuums do not have more than 40 minutes on a full charge. But I did run out of battery power right before I finished vacuuming every room in my house. The last room it died. I don’t typically use my vacuum in such a way, typically I do one floor at a time. So it really doesn’t impact me enough to regret my purchase or dislike this vacuum. I truly love it.
•Canister size: it’s kinda small. I have pets and have to dump it a few times because it does add up quick but if I just do a quick vacuum, it’s fine and doesn’t matter enough to impact my opinion.
Note: for hardwood floor I typically use the eco mode but when I get on rugs or carpet I find the higher setting is best.
I am totally impressed with this vacuum. I use it daily. If you’re on the fence, buy it!

The dust cup doesn’t come off separately. You have to pull the vacuum apart and turn it upside down to awkwardly empty the cup. If I had realized this, I would never have ordered this. We needed it for our RV and since we don’t have to vacuum that much, it works fine. I just dread emptying it. This is five stars for suction power, weight, ease of use, and two power modes. It lost a star because of the dust cup issue.

I love the price of this vaccum and the quality. The suction is great. I thought it would be flimsy and cheap but the materials are as good as our Kenmore canister vacuum. If you’re tall you will love the height of the wand. Again for the price I thought it would be short. I’m 5’11” and the ergonomics are great for me. I thought the narrow width of the rollers would take me forever to vaccum with but I love the width it’s able to get under anything without marking the furniture and walls up. The reason I gave it a 4 is that my Golden Retriever s hair gets suctioned high up into the cup and I can’t remove the screen to get it out. I’ve been using a chopstick. I don’t fill it up to the max line and it still does this but it’s a minor inconvenience.

Love it but how to get the debris that raps around the filter past dump cup.

Great pickup. Amazing ability to get under furniture, lies very flat against the ground and handle turns so that there is no inclination to the handle, the entire unit lies very flat, able to get under low-set furniture.
Also has a light which shows all the dust, and allows one to see the areas that are in greatest need of cleaning. Light also shows that this vacuum picks it all up. Excellent machine. Arrived fully charged and ready to go.

Well… I ordered this and received a broken one right off the bat. The lights would not turn on and the brush would not spin. They replaced it though with little hastle so that was good. This vacuum was perfect for my hardwood floors but I think the pet hair finally killed it.. it’s only been three months, I have one dog and one cat, both short hair but shed alot. I’ve kept up on cleaning the brush out and maintenance but for whatever reason the brush is now jamming up and it won’t stay on more then a few seconds.. I’ve had this vacuum less then three months. Highly Disappointed and would not recommend if you have ANY pets.
-UPDATE- I called the manufacturer number on the vacuum and received great help. They’re mailing the part that’s broken. “Fingers crossed it was a fluke”
Love our planet –
I love its versatility, light weight and looks. However it does not suck very well at all on the carpet and you have to go over and over on the spot in order to get everything. I sent a little video sample of sections of my carpet that I had already vacuumed and trying to pick up the few dog hair. Not good for pet hair very much. This is disappointing because I have always purchased Kenmore brand for vacuums because they have great suction but I have never bought a cordless one. I kind of regret it

We have a central vacuum and I always hated dragging out that long hose. We have a plug in vacuum and I always hated plugging that vacuum in and using it to clean. I’ve gone cord free battery powered with other tools like weed wacker and life is so much easier. So it was time to get a cordless vac. I choose this one because it was a name I can trust, the reviews were great, and it was light weight. It’s easy to use, easy to empty the dirt, easy to remove the roller for cleaning, lasts a long time between charges, easy to charge, easy to use to vacuum hard to reach areas, does an excellent job!

I received the product last week and have been using it in the past several days. So far I have been very happy with this product, especially compared to the one I had before. First, this product is very light weighted and I can easily handle it with a single hand. Second, the cordless design also allows me to use it for all home areas without worrying about finding a power outlet. Additionally, I can convert it to a hand vacuum because of the 2-in-1 design, plus the combo tool, which has made this product very powerful. I can literally clean everything, indoor, outdoor, floor, ceiling, cabinets, cars, and you name it. There are two power speeds you can choose. Overall I am super happy and this has made home cleaning so much easier for me.

I love this vacuum. My biggest regret is not getting one sooner. It’s so much easier to use than a traditional vac. There is one minor flaw. It doesn’t vacuum while in reverse on hardwoods. The suction is great but the bristles shoot debris out if going backward. So whatever you are vacuuming, make sure it’s in the front. On carpet it doesn’t do this. Again, I love it. The attachments make it easy to use for baseboards or vacuuming a car. You can make it long or short. Very versatile!

I did a lot research and this vacuum seemed to have the right balance of all aspects (weight, suction power, price, features). I am very satisfied with the purchase!
This vacuum is very light, easy to carry around. Suction is adequate for its weight, more than enough for everyday maintenance. I find myself using it more often than any of my corded ones, as it’s just easy to pick it up and start the work.
Other things I like about it:
– Two suction modes; good for preserving some energy?
– Battery is OK, lasting long enough for cleaning up my house
– Easy to change to other attachment options
– Rather quiet compared to all vacuums that I have had
– A LED headlight, especially good for cleaning some under bed area
– A battery indicator, very intuitive and helpful
– Can rest against the wall without the mount
Cons:
– Cleaning the canister is kind of tricky. Definitely need help with some paper. See my picture. Capacity is not enough for serious cleaning job. Changing the filter seems easy, but I accidentally opened up the canister when trying to access the filter…

I love this vaccum. The battery power provides the perfect time I need to do my entire 1600 sq ft home. I have rugs all over the home and hard wood floors. The suction with this vac is sufficient enough to get the dust and dirt out of your home. I wouldn’t recommend this vac for fully carpeted homes due to the power decline from the thickness of the nap in carpet which would use up the battery power more quickly. The two power levels really get you more efficient cleaning. The light weight and small structure allows me to get under beds and furniture with ease. I highly recommend this vac for those who need quick, light weight ease of use.
Aunt Kitty –
My six year old loves to use this vacuum, and that alone is worth the price of admission.
But, in real life (since his love for cleaning will wane over time), I really like that the filter basket is metal and isn’t going to deteriorate like a paper or light fabric one. The mount doesn’t automatically charge the vacuum, which is a bit of a drag, but we’ll get over it. It also hangs out pretty far, so we can’t mount it in the place we had originally intended – but that isn’t a deal breaker by any means. It’s lightweight, but all of the heft is at the top of the handle. This makes it easy to control, but inconvenient set down somewhere because it tips over pretty easily. Dealbreaker? No way. It’s great.

We have two cats. So cleaning their hair is very important to us. We have an army of vacuum include shopvac, irobot, and regular vacuum. The kenmore cordless vacuum is light to carry around. The long wand very helpful to reach some dead spots for regular vacuum or even the irobot. Sucking power is enough even on energy saving mode. One full charged battery will last around over 30 minutes heavy usage. Battery indicator let you know how much power you have left. Product made with high quality material. Very intuitive design. easy to use. don’t even read the manual yet.
Overall, a great addition to my vacuum army. The only concern is with the dusting brush. I thought the brush is not firm enough, so when dealing with long hair you may have to remove the long hair by using your hand. Hope they can throw in an additional HEPA filter.

I went looking for a handheld car vacuum a week ago and ended up with this stick vacuum to replace my decade-old Dirt Devil house vacuum. I’m so glad I chose to purchase this item. I love the maneuverability; it goes easily under my couch, chair, and beds and vacuums right up to the shoe moulding. I love the convenience of it; it is about 5 pounds, and I can carry it up and down the stairs and to the car so easily! I love the attachment, which is one item that converts into two attachments with a slide and a click. And finally, I love how easy it is to push a button to dump what you’ve vacuumed and that you can easily remove the roller and clean all the hair out of it.
(Also, my husband mounted it in our hallway cleaning closet and said that part was very well designed.)
The only four things I would change are these:
1. I wish the stick part would release a little easier. I have the beginnings of arthritis, and sometimes I have to work with the stick to get it removed.
2. I wish it had just a little bit more suction. I also wish I didn’t have to push the button to go into high suction mode again after I turn it off and back on.
3. I wish the pulsing light on the charge would pulse a bit faster. My (young) kid is always telling me, “It’s done!” when it really isn’t. (But the blue light turns off completely after it’s been fully charged for 15 minutes, so this isn’t a big deal.)
4. I do wish it had a place to hang the attachment, and maybe it does and I just haven’t figured it out yet.
I also miss being able to have those vacuum stripes in my carpet the way I had with my Dirt Devil. (I have no idea why I’m hung up on this, given I get frustrated when the nearby subdivision neighbors on NextDoor fuss about people not cutting stripes in their lawns.) But as you can see, these are all very minor details.
This is one of the best purchases I’ve made all year. It has convinced me to get rid of my old Dirt Devil, my Ryobi ONE+ hand vac, and my iRobot Bravaa jet in just 48 hours. I may even get rid of my almost-new EyeVac. This thing is great!

Comparing with other brand name vacuum machines this one’s price is much reasonable. It works pretty well. My wife likes it. The weight is super light so she has no issues to carry it around. Another thing I like about this machine is the battery time. It can last about 40 mins on a single charge which seems much longer than other brands I have used before. The appearance design is just ok, not very fancy. Overall I think it is a good buy.

My husband bought this for me because I have a bad back and struggle to carry my heavy vacuum up and down the stairs. I didn’t think I’d like this vacuum as much as I do. I’m obsessed!! I use it a couple of times a day and it cleans my floors immaculately. I was shocked at its power and weight. It’s so easy to carry around and makes cleaning a breeze. I used to dread vacuuming but now I love it. I can vacuum my entire up and down stairs on one charge easily and quickly. No need to go over and over areas. Gets the job done in one pass! The basin can also hold a lot of dirt. I can go about 20 cleanings before emptying it out. It’s not too loud and has really good suction. You can also press a button to make it normal power or extra strong suction for dirtier areas. It does great on my wood floors as well as different lengths of carpet. It cleans my stairs so nicely and is so easy for my back to clean while carrying it. If you have any kids or pets or just like clean floors you have to get this. I don’t ever use my older, heavy vacuums anymore. I love the freedom of cordless and the ease of this light weight model. I’d recommend this all day long. It’s my most prized cleaning machine. Don’t hesitate! Pick this up and watch your floors transform.

Sleek design, easy to maneuver to tight corners, the head light is a huge plus as you will see the dirt and dust. Surprised that it came with battery charged so I can test out immediately. Tried on tiles, hardwood floor and carpet, pretty effective at what it is supposed to do. Given the price, and compared to some brand name four times more expensive, I give this a five stars!
KWalker –
Pros: gets into small spaces. Suctions well!
Has a light to see what you are getting. Love that there’s no cord! It’s light weight! I love it hangs out of the way.
Cons: the reason I gave it 3 stars is because it’s not meant for Long haired dogs. Period. I have a golden retriever, and a golden doodle pup. One sheds a lot the other chews a lot. I have to clean the hose at the bottom check the top part of the hose every use. It gets all stuck up in the hose if you don’t clean it out. Then it doesn’t suck at all. I vacuum every day.
Another con is the empty cup is NOT big enough for what I need it for. I have to empty 2-3 times each use. It’s great for basic cleaning without animals. I would not buy this again since I have to empty it so much and clean the hose out.

We purchased this particular vacuum for my mother to use. Her Shark had seen better days and she needed a lightweight vacuum. I thought this one would be ok for her (she is 95). The suction is awesome, we loved the lights and the trigger button, but she said it was too heavy for her to maneuver. The cup is up at the top near the handle, which is what adds weight to that part of the stick. It’s a great product, it does its job well, but for her, it just wasn’t working. You might say, why is a 95-year-old woman doing her own vacuuming. I asked that very question when she has more help than she can use on any given day, but she insists on being active and this is the activity she has chosen as hers. So, she gave this vacuum away and got herself a lighter machine. Overall, I have to say this particular one works very well and is well worth the money.

Got this so I didn’t have to sweep multiple times a day. I have 2 dogs, my rottie sheds bad. This works really good picking on small objects , I find alot of dog hair gets stuck to the bottom and I have to remove it myself. I got this cause it said good for animal hair . It is a good vacuum just wish did better…

I have a Dyson but wanted an additional lighter weight/duty cordless stick vac for some non carpet areas & stairs. This one has pretty good suction, maneuvers easily, gets under my sofa a good few inches, handles stairs well, and gets in around my toilet base & other furniture. The suction is not as strong as my Dyson – but for less than $150, this is also a fraction of the price. The dust cup is easy to dump & the filter easy to access for cleaning – which is a plus. Some people complain that this won’t stay upright on its own – but don’t blame this particular machine – Dyson stick vacs are the same way. I just make sure I prop them up in a corner to prevent from sliding over, & I charge the hand control separately from the tube attachment. I’ve been happily using this about twice a day for a couple weeks now, & I am happy with it!
