This is the first robot vacuum we’ve ever bought, and it has definitely upped our housekeeping game! It was easy to setup and use. It has made a smart map of our house, and we’re able to send it to specific locations for spot cleaning and tell it no go zones. It has a low profile, so it can get in low places where I honestly would never vacuum myself. It can deal with cluttered areas, no problem, so i don’t feel like i have to clean up before vacuuming. Also it is very safe, my 12 month old baby is interested in it and follows it around, and so does my cat! The self- emptying and self- charging features are very cool. I don’t have to babysit it, it’s very independent. Also it’s nice and quiet, it actually snuck up on my husband last night while he was cooking and gently brushed his foot, haha. We seriously love this Neabot, it kind of feels like a pet that cleans up!

This is the best robot vacuum I have ever had. And I have had a LOT!! Several roombas, several Neato robotics and a Samsung. This is the only robot vac I have ever had that has never gotten lost. It is INCREDIBLY smart. I have a complex floor plan with furniture that the vacuum can go under to clean. So lots of legs on beds and sofas for a robot vac to get stuck on. This little robot is amazing. Every other vac I have ever had needed to be rescued at some point. It’s annoying to have to crawl under a bed to retrieve a stuck robot. I think those days are over with this neabot. It accurately drew a map the first time and hasn’t gotten lost since. When things move, like if I move the coffee table or if there is a new obstacle on the floor, it doesn’t phase the neabot. SO smart!!
I have a roomba braava jet that I often send out after the neabot to mop and I often have to go find it. And the roomba is smaller. So how does it get confused and lost but the neabot doesn’t? The neabot is just that much smarter.
I got my first neabot on Kickstart in August 2020. I was immediately impressed. So now a month later I got my second. I am replacing a neato D7 with this. I like it that much.
It cleans effectively with 3 different choices of suction. The lowest suction is very quiet so it can clean without annoying if you are in the room. The strongest is louder but super effective on carpets.
Since I have used robot vacuums since the first roomba came out nearly 2 decades ago, I am pretty good at making sure the house is robot ready. Pick up socks, dog toys, etc always. And make sure there are no stray power cords laying on the floor. The neabot handles throw rugs better than most. No problem with bath mats or small throw rugs. It is also smart about thresholds and such. The neabot d7 has trouble with the threshold of my sliding doors. If the door is open, it will aggessively climb it and get stuck every time. I have NEVER had trouble with the neabot being too aggressive.
I love everything about this vacuum. I love never having to dump the dust bin. I have dogs. I have not yet had to deal with cleaning the brushes or anything. And honestly, I haven’t had to touch the vacuum in the nearly 2 months I have had it. Which is how I like it!! 🙂

I liked this robot so much that I bought a second one. It does what it’s supposed to do, which is vacuum. The app needs work, though. This is the reason I took away 1 star. I’m using an iPhone 11Pro to connect to it.
Pros:
It is very easy to set up.
It draws a map of the floor and lets you block off areas into rooms and no-go zones.
Most of the time, it doesn’t fall down the stairs… but you can make the stairs a no-go zone, so that’s fine.
The dust bin is amazing and the bags hold weeks worth of vacuuming. We have 3 cats in the house, so this is a big deal for us.
The suction is great and can be adjusted.
The battery lasts through the entire cleaning, even on highest suction.
It finds its way back to the base pretty reliably and knows to save enough battery to get there.
The very few times it has run out of battery during a cleaning, it returned to its base to recharge and then continued once it was charged enough.
The scheduling feature on the app lets you schedule different rooms for different times and it’s quite reliable if you run the same schedule daily.
You can move it to clean a different floor, although it won’t be able to find its base (understandably).
Maintenance is very easy. Unlike some robotic vacuums, this one doesn’t require a degree in mechanical engineering to get all the parts off and cleaned.
The verbal messages from the vacuum itself are helpful.
Cons:
It has a hard time connecting to wifi and doesn’t reliably stay connected.
The scheduling was a bit iffy. Until I set it to do the same thing every day, it didn’t necessarily start on schedule.
The messaging part of the app is very, very weak. The only time you see a message is when you’re actually in the app. (Yes, I have notifications turned on for this app.)
If it stops, you will only know by looking at your phone and seeing if it’s “cleaning” or “error.” If you are not in the room, you will not hear what the problem is, and you will not get a message on your phone. We originally had a fancier, more expensive brand that didn’t work as well but had an amazing app that sent a message for almost every move. So I know it’s possible.
Overall, this is a great vacuum. I really, really wish they would work on their app. As I mentioned, that is my major complaint. I’ve read that Android is even worse, which is scary. But if you want a vacuum that works better than some of the more expensive ones, despite the weak app, I recommend this one. If they ever fix the app, I will be tempted to buy a 3rd one for our loft.

Within the first 3 days of owning this robot vacuum, we came to the conclusion that our regular, commercial-powered upright vacuum hasn’t been doing the best job at sucking up hair, fur, dust and bits. This cute robot did a couple rounds around the house and suddenly every room looks much brighter. (Not an exaggeration.)
There are so many features I love, so grab some popcorn and buckle in. (TLDR: scroll to the bottom.)
What impressed me most was that it got into the corners where the wall meets the floor, and dig out the stubbornly stick hair that the regular vacuum would miss, and I’d have to brush/sweep out by hand. This guy does it in one go without the need for other hose attachments.
THIS ROBOT CLEANS SYSTEMATICALLY. In the past, I would get annoyed by the random zigzagging of other robot floor cleaners. Even though the cleaning pattern is programmed/engineered, it’s still annoying to a brain that like organization. This one cleans open spaces in overlapping rows, systematically. It’s a pleasure to walk into a carpeted hallway to see straight vacuum lines.
IT’S VERY THOROUGH AND POWERFUL. In the first pass over the house, we had to clean out the hair and fur that clogged up the roller brush several times (see picture). It’s so gross, but it’s what’s been clinging to our floors! Like I said before, I am disappointed in our old vacuum, which we had thought was a super powerful machine. It also picked up a shiny penny and a small metal connector ring (like on a temporary key ring). This low profile robot gets under beds and chairs that we couldn’t reach with our push-stick vacuum, and in places where our extra fluffy, double-coated dog likes to lounge and, consequently, leave balls of fur.
DOES NOT SCARE THE DOG. Speaking of the dog, another impressive thing about this vacuum is that MY DOG DOES NOT HATE IT! He usually barks nervously at the vacuum, runs up/down stairs to get away from it, and even attacks the vacuum. He’s lived nearly a decade and he’s hated every vacuum he’s ever met before the Neabot. You can see from the video that the first time we turned it on (we hadn’t even taken the protective plastic sheet off the top yet) the dog just sniffed and pawed it once, then moved away. He just jumps out of its way if it runs into his heels. He doesn’t love it, but he also doesn’t consider it his mortal enemy. We can have clean floors without stressing out our dog, and as a consequence, we’ve vacuum more frequently than we normally do in a week.
RELATIVELY QUIET. It’s much more silent than a regular vacuum, which might be why my dog doesn’t see it as a threat. And it’s quiet enough to let to work on a different floor while you’re doing things around the house, but I have to admit, by day 2 of running it non-stop, I couldn’t stand the gym anymore, so there’s a limit to even “quiet” vacuums for me. We weren’t living in a pigsty before, but not having to worry about a barking dog over the loud buzz of a vacuum will makes us vacuum more frequently, for sure.
DUST COLLECTION RECEPTACLE IS A NICE FEATURE. After the first few times we had to manually remove the excessive hair and fur from the roller, the feature that empties the dust tray in the robot into the receptacle on the charging station works well! I love that we don’t have to empty the dust tray manually every time, and that it gets dumped into a heap filtered vacuum bag. There are also fine mesh vents on every air passage area in the receptacle and in the robot that can be removed and washed.
CAUTIONS AND CONS:
While it’s smart and has a radar/sensing function in the little watchtower in the center, you have to make sure you pick up smaller, more delicate items off the floor. Which is a standard warning, and you’d do that for manual-operation vacuums. But it’s easy to forget that l because this is a smart little robot.
I’m not sure if I should say this is a “con” per se, but it’s really, really strong and I left it unsupervised in my room and returned to my phone charger in the roller. I left the charger cords on the floor and this guy picked it up and took it along. I also found it tried to yank my laptop charger out and bent the end connected to the computer. So I had to brave the mall to do an outdoor pick-up of a replacement cord. I read in another review that we can set up no-go zones using the app. I haven’t done that yet.
So, just don’t leave small items on the floor. It seems to like stringy/ropey items that are lightweight to twirl around its sweepers and drag around. It does navigate over larger cords like extension cords and low thresholds in entryways.
Lastly, it came with 6 extra replacement vacuum bags for the receptacle (packaged in sets of 2), but they were wrapped in cardboard pieces so don’t toss the phone-shaped cardboard packages like I nearly did. There is also a pair of replacement rotating sweepers and an extra screen that fits into vacuum to filter small particles.
Inside the vacuum dust tray, we found a small brush to clean out the tray, with A covered blade like a letter opener to cut our hair from the roller brush and rotating sweepers! How thoughtful!
Amazon only allows 1 video per review, so I tried to splice a few videos together to show the packaging and the initial function.
Overall, I think this might be the best vacuum I’ve owned. It’s more powerful than most (all?) manual-operation upright vacuums I’ve encountered, gets into crevices and corners, does not distress my nervous, barky dog, dumps its own tray automatically and has tons of smart features. If only it did stairs, it would be perfect.

I was excited to try out the new Neabot because I wanted the features of the much more expensive Roomba, but didn’t want to pay a lot of money for the name. I was really impressed with the new model and all of the capabilities.
I have a Roomba already, but there are several things that I didn’t like – the random bump and turn blind approach to navigation, constant cleaning of the low volume tray and the lack of any real programmability of the earlier models.
My family (like many others this pandemic summer) purchased a dog recently and we needed a more robust constant solution since I have allergies. The neabot helps solve this problem for me.
My favorite features:
1) Once you let it map your main floor, you can set schedules for the Neabot to just go and clean certain areas. You define the area in the map on a phone app and then set the schedule to clean. I can have it clean busy areas of the house while everyone sleeps.
2) It doesn’t run out of battery life and get stranded. My Roomba was always getting stuck in the middle of the floor when the battery died and it couldn’t bump its way home. The neabot has a map and can go directly home if the battery starts to wane.
3) Along that same line – I never have to worry about the dirt bin filling, because it is automatically emptied.
4) I like the organized approach to cleaning. It doesn’t just bang around the room bumping into things. It has a laser thing that maps your room and all of the obstacles and then methodically goes in straight lines cleaning every nook and cranny. You can even see where it went in the app.
5) The design is nice and clean. I have a clean white one.
6) It can be quiet. There are three settings – so you can make it really suck up stuff or be quieter if you have a room without as much stuff.
I let it run on both hardwood and carpeted areas and it has done well so far. The new features really take away all of my earlier annoyances with robot vacuums as well. Some notes: Make sure you get the latest app and all of the updates for the machine before using it. There was a bit of a learning curve for me on using the app to set up zones. Once I understood how it worked, though, it was easy to set up the zones.
Overall, a big improvement for robot vacuums.

Update (10/31): the company contacted me immediately upon reading my prior review to work with me to fix my software issue, so I look forward to have a fully-functioning system soon. I will give 5 stars once my patch works, because the vacuums are awesome, otherwise. I bought the second one after my husband bought the first because the performance is so top-notch.
————————————
I bought two of these vacuums (one for upstairs, one for downstairs, because they can only make a map of a single floor). Using the app (only!), you are then (supposed to be) able to set up “no-go” zones, set up schedules (again, only possible using the app), request the vacuum to clean a specific room (via the app), etc. However, I am unable to connect to these vacuums using the app on my iPhone despite the fact that the vacuums ARE connected successfully to my home wi-fi’s 2.4 Ghz band. The app just craps out on the last step (see screenshot attached). After about 5 minutes, the app fails and gives the error message, “To complete pairing, you must accept the prompt to allow Neabot Home to join your Neabot’s WiFi network).” But I never GET a prompt to accept – and I have tried this OVER and OVER and OVER the past month since getting my first Neabot. I have reset and retried to connect at least 40 times.
I contacted Neabot’s support and received this message back on Oct 16, 2020:
Thanks for reaching out. Really sorry for this inconvenience.
Normally, there is no problem with the iPhone connection, but today several customers suddenly reported similar problems. We are urgently solving this problem and will reply to you as soon as possible.
This was obviously two weeks ago, and there is still not a fix for connecting the Neabot Home app to the actual Neabot vacuum. It seems like this should be an enormous priority in terms patching the app.
In terms of mechanics, I *love* the vacuum – we have had Roombas since they first came out and the Neabot outperforms, does FAR less damage to my furniture legs, and is much quieter. However, the vacuum is of little practicality without the ability to set up a schedule. Also, because there are no “lighthouses” like Roomba has (again, no-go functionality requires the app), I am not able to keep these out of certain sections of a room (and instead have to shut the door, meaning the room doesn’t get vacuumed – which I learned the hard way when one of these guys vacuumed up my internet fiber cable!). I am looking forward to a software update soon.

After using the Neabot for more than 6 months, it has worked fairly well. Using schedules to clean certain zones on regular days is very useful and is my primary use-case. The ability to map out zones where it should not vacuum has been invaluable, we block out things like pet areas and certain spots under furniture where it is prone to getting stuck.
This leads to one of the drawbacks, the lidar provides great visibility to the areas being vacuumed but because it sticks out from the top of the unit it sometimes gets stuck under certain furniture. As a result, these areas are now on the no-vacuum zones.
The app itself is a bit quirky and is easier to use on larger mobile phone screens. There is no tablet specific version but this would be a great addition to help with the intricacies of map layout. Sometimes your map may be lost either as a seemingly random event or if you manually relocate Neabot to a new area (previously not vacuumed). Fortunately, you can review prior vacuum events and resurrect your previous map from there.
It transitions well between carpeted and non-carpeted areas, and has reasonable suction to pickup debris. The ability to self-empty into the dustbin gets most of the material out of the unit; however, there are tangles that need to be regularly pruned from the roller itself.
Walls and furniture are handled skillfully, the Neabot is able to detect as it approaches and it slows down to clean along these edges. Other robotic vacuum cleaners will collide with walls and furniture and then start working along them, this unit avoids these collisions altogether.
So far this seems to be the best compromise for a whole-house automated robotic vacuum. I hope the app itself gets some updates to make it easier to use (drawing zones on the map is a bit tedious) and maybe some less expensive dust bags will bring down the cost of consumables.

I would never support iRobot because of their aggressive patent trolling behavior and excessively high price-point. Good for them for creating some common sense features first. Shame on them for preventing competitors from adopting similar features on their own. Thankfully they lost at least one of those battles (with Neato).
The Neabots have been flawless so far in nearly a year of operation. Occasionally a sensor gets little dirty and you wipe it clean. Occasionally the brush roller gets tangled up and needs to be cleaned off or sometimes replaced. Occasionally there is some extra debris left in the robot’s bin. All of this is acceptable in my opinion. Other robot vacuums have some substantial issues with basic reliability (Lambot to name one has/had a systemic motor failure issue where the roller was designed so poorly the hair got sucked into the motor).
Navigation and mapping is excellent and does not shift around or become unstable or corrupted (unlike the Lambot). No go zones are reliable and room based cleaning is reliable as well.
Get one of these for each floor of your house and you will almost never need to vacuum again. Sometimes a mess here or there is too intense and you need some real suction power but the suction on the Neabot (once set to max) is very suitable for day to day cleaning.

I have eight vacuum robots. No, I’m not crazy, I started a YouTube channel (Mr. Roombato) and need to buy them to review them (so far I’ve paid of every one with my own money, so this review is impartial). I use every one of them in my house for at least a month, and after that, some of them stay, others go on a shelf. This one is staying.
First, if you’re wondering if you should buy a vacuum robot at all, the answer is yes. It will change your life. The technology has exploded in the last few years and things we didn’t even think were possible just a few years ago are run of the mill today. You want one, trust me.
I’ve been using this robot for a month doing scheduled cleanings. It has never glitched out, never gotten lost, never nuked its own map and never gotten stuck in a ridiculous place (yes, these are real issues with other robots!) Right now, if you forced me to get rid of all of my robots and keep just one, it would be this one. Why? Because it just works. Its bin works great. Its app is the best I’ve ever used. What few bugs it has (and yes, they all have bugs) are trivial and don’t interfere with its functionality.
If you have mostly carpets, you’ll probably want something different, as this is only an okay carpet cleaner. But on hard floors, it does a fantastic job. Not that it doesn’t clean carpets well, it’s just that there are robots out there that do it better. But for hard floors, this is hard to beat. It also gets really close to walls thanks to a side mounted time of flight sensor.
I love this robot, and the best part is, the price is absurdly low. You can pay twice as much for a Roomba (or more!), but you’d be getting a lesser robot.

After one false start that was address in a timely fashion I receive my new replacement Neabot. The Neabot may not have all the name recognitions of other manufactures but the price made it a must try. After charging the Neabot and connecting it to the internet (I don’t understand why smart appliance manufacturers only connect to 2.4 GHz) I let it run through the house to start to create a home map. I could then zone off individual areas. The Neabot lets you schedule cleanings, select single or double pass and the suction power, low, medium and high. The house was just clean the previous day and being and owner of two English Labs who’s sole goal in life is to shed hair I was amazed at the amount dog hair and dirt that was pulled from the carpet and hardwood floors. It has two side brushes that are used in an as needed basis, you want the brushes to clean the corners but not scatter dirt when vacuuming the middle of a floor. Being an owner of the more well known dumb-bot that bounced off walls, chairs and dogs, I’m a happy man. This is a win, win for me, I don’t have to listen to my wife complain about all the dog hair on the floor and the Neabot works at half the price of the completion, its worth trying it. The instruction that come with the Neabot are little light, go online to there support web site, everything you need is there. I’ll post and update in the future
January 4 2021 – I’ve now had this little Neabot for three months and its still going strong. Addressing issues that other have had, yes connecting to the WIFI can be an issue, just remember this is a 2.4GHz vacuum so make sure your picking up 2.4 GHz from your WIFI. I accidently deleted my WIFI and it took several hours to reconnect it, I was suppressed that my house mapping was still there. My Neabot runs daily in different rooms so it collect a lot of dirt. Every time I replace the bag I clean the Neabot. I use compressed air to clean the dust collection bin and to clean the main brush. I also just blow all the dust out of the vacuum that accumulated. I’ve had several wall sensor errors caused by dog hair and dust, cleaning the sensor window solves that problem. The Neabot gets run daily in different parts of the house, keeping ahead of pet hair every several days is better that once a week or every two weeks. I have never had an issue with clogging when the Neabot emptied the dust bin. I have mine set for double pass and high vacuum suction. I am amazed a how well it cleans and how well the mapping works. My only disappointment is ordering replacement dust bags and brushes from the Gadget Plus. Its now been six weeks and I have not received my replacement parts. This was a great purchase, I haven’t had any issues with the Neabot, just make sure it gets cleaned regularly. Be patient with the WIFI connection, I had to follow the instructions for the manual connection. It was a great purchase for $470.00
June 21, 2021 – Well I’ve had the Neabot almost one year now. No problems with it, lost the maps once but they were all in history so re-ran them from there. The key to this continuing to work well is to clean the brush and filters every couple weeks, I use compress air and it take several minutes. You don’t use your Dyson or Hoover for months without cleaning the brush’s and emptying the trash bin, same thing applies here. The nice thing about the Neabot is if I’m not home for several weeks I can schedule cleanings by Wi-Fi and come home to a clean house, it never triggers the home security system. I have two dogs that shed badly. If I know that the carpet is really dirty I clean one room at a time so the Neabot empties properly for the first cleaning. I have to say I’m really happy with it. I’ve read all the poor revues and frankly I don’t understand the complaints. Now I’m going to purchase a second Neabot for my vacation home
Moroni83 –
I really want to love this little vacuum. When it works, it works great. The problem I have with it is the maps are stored only on the phone app, and they get lost frequently. Today I had it start a cleaning cycle with a fresh map (since the old one got lost). It did well mapping out the rooms. It ran out of battery towards the end. It went back to the base to recharge. Once the recharge was completed it went back out to clean, but the map got lost again and it started all over again. Losing the maps makes many of the features of the vacuum useless: no-go zones, schedules for specific zones, and zones for double-pass cleaning. I am hoping these issues can be resolved with firmware and app updates.
D. Scott –
We had the original Roomba and it did okay. We upgraded to the “new and improved” Roomba with auto dustbin about 6 months ago. It vacuumed half as well as the original, at twice the price. I returned it and bought the Neabot. I was skeptical because the make and model are so new, and the reviews were scarce. It is GREAT. It cleans corners, under the sofa, over the rugs on hardwood floors, over cushioned mats in the kitchen. We have set it to vacuum the entire first floor (3,100 sq ft) over a rotating two-day schedule. Each day it vacuums quietly for about 40 minutes, hitting every area twice in a perfect grid. Did you leave your shoes in the middle of the floor? Neabot will vacuum right around them no problem. It adjusts its suction power automatically as it transitions between hardwood and carpet. The system allows you to create “areas” of a smart map. We created an “island” area for the center of the kitchen. If I make a mess cooking, we just tell Neabot to hit the “Island” and in 5 minutes the floor is vacuumed clean. Now if only Neabot would get a sibling that mops.
OldFart –
The vacuum is somewhat disappointing. First of all the instructions are awful and setting up the app is only a little better. I spent many years in IT and have seen worse, but not by much.
The auto emptying dust bin is a good idea, but it has only worked properly once for us. Granted, we have 3 cats and that is a lot of cat hair to pick up, but still….. What happens most of the time is the cat hair wads up and we have to manually empty the dust bin because the opening isn’t large enough.
One other quirky thing that happens is that it avoids about a six foot square area in front of our front door even though we have not set any don’t go areas. The remote control that comes with the unit is basically worthless. The app works, but is confusing to use until you get used to the quirks.
Now the good part. The vacuum works well though you will still need to get out your big vacuum occasionally to sweep behind it, but of the three robot vacs I have had all required this. Battery life is good. We have a 2300sqft house and it gets around the whole thing before needing a recharge.
The fact that this comes with the dump bin instead of having to buy it extra like some of the available robot vacuums is a plus.
My final comment is that one day I may find the perfect robot vacuum, but this is not it, but neither are the higher priced ones I have had.

I am a tech lover and an early adopter of robot vacuums. My last one just bounced around the area, cleaning randomly and banging into stuff. It was great, made vacuuming fun, and was revolutionary at the time. I really wanted a robot vacuum with an automatic Dustbin, but I didnt want to pay the ridiculous price that some of the competitors wanted for that feature. So I started looking…
Fast forward to Neabot. I backed the project after finding it on Kickstarter and couldn’t wait to see how it stood up to my older more mainstream robot vacuum. I’m glad I did! The Neabot is amazing. It first maps out the area it is going to vacuum and then systematically cleans it in nice straight lines. I LOVE how it makes the carpet look!
A few days after getting my first Neabot, I knew I had to have one for the upstairs as well, so I bought one on Amazon. I’ve had a lot of fun exploring the options and there has already been some App and firmware updates. The Neabot team is very responsive to customer feedback.
After letting the robot map out the space during the first run, you can edit the map of your home to add in Zones. These zones are very handy and can tell the robot not to go in a certain place, or that the area needs a more thorough cleaning. No more light barriers or magnetic tape messing up your beautiful home!
You can also use the zones to setup a schedule for cleaning. Perhaps one area only need to be vacuumed once a week, while others need it everyday? No problem. The nice part is that if the robot runs out of power, it will go back, charge up, and finish cleaning afterwards. You can also setup Do-Not-Disturb times where the robot will stop cleaning if it hasnt finished yet.
Absolutely love this fun little robot!
See the pics I posted with this and a video of Neabot doing its thing..

So I really wanted to love this machine and I did like some things about it, but ultimately she (Monica) had to be returned. She was replaced with a similar Shark robot vacuum, so I can give you some comparisons between the two. Oddly, the Shark is named Monica also. Okay, not so odd, I named them both. I did think the Neabot did a good job vacuuming (we never tried the mopping feature, too much of a pain to get her all set up for that and then have to switch back to be able to vacuum, so that seemed kind of pointless, but maybe you’ll give it a try and find it’s a nice feature). I also liked the different surfaces it was able to vacuum with no effort. Our home has carpet, hard surface floor, and some rugs. One of the rugs has a very tall nap and the Neabot was better than using a traditional vacuum cleaner for this rug.
The mapping feature seemed to work really well too. It made a pretty decent map of the floor plan, including where obstacles like the kitchen table sits. I was really impressed with it’s mapping.
The Neabot did has some really robust wheels on it too. It would go over all the “terrain” of the house, thresholds, it did manage to get stuck a few times. It would get tangled up on the power cords under the desk, which is kind of to be expected I guess. It would also get itself in inescapable predicaments behind the living room furniture. This was especially annoying as it was near impossible to retrieve. This particular issue wasn’t a deal breaker though and could be resolved with the app as you could program areas for it to avoid, so ultimately once you have taken the time to have it all programmed this wasn’t a huge issue.
Another issue was how loud it was while operating. It was disappointingly loud. Not really something I’d want cleaning the house at night while you’re trying to sleep kind of noisy. It was ridiculously loud when it went back to the base station and evacuated the debris to the base station, like hearing protection recommended kind of loud. If you managed to sleep through it vacuuming, unless you’re absolutely dead to the world as you sleep there’s little chance you’ll sleep through the space shuttle that just launched in your house. This still wasn’t the deal breaker though, and I figured as noisy as it was, it must surely have some pretty good power to clean.
The deal breaker and the main reason it was returned was because it flat refused to stay connected to the wifi. Every single time I wanted to turn it on with the app I would get an error stating it wasn’t connected. I couldn’t operate it until I power cycled the unit, which was a pain and blows the point of having the machine. Especially when you take into account it wasn’t exactly quick and easy to power on/off. I’d have to go the room it was located, remove it from the base station, (if I forgot to do this, it would tell me it can’t turn off while charging). So, remove from base station, hold down power button for a few seconds and eventually it was say it was powering down. Then after it was finally powered down, hold down power button for a few seconds again and it would power back up, then wait for it get reconnected to the wifi and finally you can get back on the app and have it vacuum. This wasn’t an occasional occurrence, this is what needed to be done every single time I wanted to use it from day one. I checked for firmware updates, I was patient for several days giving it the benefit of the doubt this was just a fluke thing, but in the end I got fed up and this thing is returned.
The replacement is a similar Shark unit that has been a better choice so far. I can’t really tell any real difference in how well one cleans over the other but the Shark is much more quiet. It’s not silent but I don’t mind having it run at night while I’m trying to sleep, though some people might.
If you get a Neabot that doesn’t have issues staying connected to wifi and you don’t mind the noise, I think you’ll like the machine. As for myself, I’m glad I tried a different brand.

Where do I start? After having my Neato “not so smart” (well it’s also 4 years old) robot running around and cleaning with more or less good results, this little gem does its work perfectly. It did map our whole house, (2800sqf) in one go, however, it was unable to empty the full internal dustbin into the external bag. Having said that, several other vacuums I researched have issues with getting it emptied if it is full to the top. Any cleaning afterward it handled perfectly and little to no residue was left in sequential cleanings. Mapping is excellent and able to put in no-go zones are great, preventing it from trying to run between and underneath the bar chairs, way too small to fit and keep scratching them up, as the neato did. Same with the dog food and drink bowls, no longer being pushed around from the kitchen to the living room. I did end up putting some felt around the bot, do to some walls being natural stone, and the bot keeps getting scratched up but some stone sticking out in some places, not the fault of the Neabot.
Nothing negative to report so far, it does its thing and is fairly silent, increasing the suction when it goes onto the carpet only. Another plus, and a reason for getting it, we have pretty much tiles in the whole house and every room. Most robotic cleaners have the little wipers in the front spinning way to fast, kicking dust around the room instead of bringing it in towards the suction opening. The Neabot spins at slow RPM, just fast enough to work as intended, very important if you have lots of hardwood or tiles. Another reason we decided on this one is the color. Why the heck most manufacturers make their vacuums in Black is beyond me. So annoying on my old Neato, getting full of dust quickly and it shows up too easily.
So, here are the Pros and Cons in my humble opinion:
Pros:
Cost, at just under 500.- including the external damp station and all the features, it’s great
Color, white does not show any dust generated when it’s doing its thing
Lidar instead of a camera for mapping. We have several dark rooms, like the huge walk-in closet, tried my daughter her Roomba i7. and it kept bumping all over the place, and not cleaning every corner.
App is great, able to set schedule, no-go zones and so on
Cons:
opening for sucking dust out to the external container needs to be a bit bigger
Having two apps, like my wife and mine on each phone is a pain since it kicks one user out the moment another sign in, you should be able to start the vacuum remotely on any phone without having to keep in with a password. Face recognition or fingerprint would be easier and acceptable I think.
having a better app for a tablet would be great. We have an iPad on the wall which we can use to control all lights in the house, music, and a security system with cameras. The vacuum app shows up just like the phone app and does not take advantage of a bigger screen to set borders and no-go zones.
Having said that, those are mostly software-related things and maybe they can be implemented in the future. For now, I will order a second unit for our vacation home shortly, really impressed with the unit.

I LOVE this vacuum!! I had a Neato D series that I liked but it died so we replaced it with a Roomba. We cannot stand the Roomba! It constantly got stuck on the most minor things, and there was no rhyme or reason to its cleaning path. It just bumped around like a drunken sailor. We saw the Neatbot and decided to give it a try. I’m so happy we did because It’s amazing!! The power in this thing is great, and you can choose from 3 suction settings. It maps the house and where it’s cleaned so nothing is missed. Through the app we were able to set zones: “vacuum twice here, vacuum once there, don’t even think about going here”. It’s perfect for our needs. We have two hairy dogs and a long hair cat and the Neatbot takes care of all their hair. The self emptying is loud, but no louder than a powerful upright, and its brief. I like that it’s cleaning out all the “innerds” of the bot so I don’t have to! The only thing we don’t like about the remote is it has directional buttons that don’t seem to have a purpose. Otherwise it’s fine, but using the app is more convenient for us. We are thinking of buying a second one for our 2nd floor and getting rid of the Roomba.

Great product. Only issue I personally have is if you’re habitually messy like my family is, you’ll have to clean before each time it runs, and this little guy gets caught on many things. You can’t leave a long sewing thread out or it’ll jam. Bar wrappers do the same (and I’m talking just the corner you rip off, not the whole thing). For vacuuming and dusting it’s fantastic if you’re tidy already. Also replacing parts is very easy, most of the boxes I’ve used come with their own instructions. And if that isn’t enough,Neabot app has more instructions AND videos and pictures. The sensors are very good and don’t need to be cleaned nearly as often as indicated (I think they say every month, mine works fine with every other). The brushes require a small screwdriver but otherwise everything is pretty hassle-free. Docking is super easy as long as it has some wiggle room (IE Don’t put it in a corner or next to a door that’s open often. Also the self emptying bin is amazing and lasts a long time. The mapping can be great but it can also be a pretty big downfall if your house is like mine and furniture is changing every day. My living room tables and seat cushions are never in the same place twice. It’s good at getting around them, but it takes her quite a bit longer, and the map is saved after each clean so I’m sure she’s got thousands of maps saved for the living room. What I did not find useful at all is the sensors they give you to create walls or a semi circle around areas you don’t want the Neabot going to. I put good batteries into them and turned them on around where all our wiring is and Eeva did not see the sensor at all. I even called customer service about it to make sure I was using it correctly, AND they sent me replacement sensors. What fixed it in the end was adding a no go zone to neabot map via the app. Great product. Highly recommend!!

I’m going to get to the point with Pros and Cons.
Pros:
1. Cleans well and the high suction is great. I like having the 3 different suction levels.
2. Battery life is great. Does one level of home around about 900 sq ft with a double pass in kitchen and corridor. Still has 40% battery on high suction.
3. Map is very good and keep out zones work 100%.
4. App is easy to use and clean interface.
5. At price with self empty bin is a win. Just right.
6. Remote control is nice but don’t see myself using it.
7. Will suck up large and small debris easily.
8. Navigates really, really well. Satisfying back and forth.
Cons:
1. Self empty bin has limited suction. Will clear small type debris but can’t handle a peanut of pretzel. Handles daily dust bunnies and hair well. As long as it doesn’t overfill dustbin. That being said how often do you pickup that type of large items. Run every other day is you have pets to prevent overfill.
2. Can’t name your own rooms. No custom naming available.
3. Does good on carpet. Just wished it agitated the fibers better. I like the strong carpet line. Not sure if it is getting a deep clean.
4. Needs multi level mapping. But there is a workaround. When I take it to second level to clean I have to start a new map. Don’t save that new map if it’s not your main cleaning level. To get your main map back, go to history and use the old one from previous level.
Overall I love this little robot. Coming from a 7 year old Roomba with random navigation and no map it’s a techie dream. I keep a very clean house (Friends and family joke does anyone live in your house.). That being said the dustbin limitations doesn’t effect me like someone with a lot of pets or large family. For a single guy it’s going to work out great and the self empty bags will probably last me 6 months to a year. I really do like this Vac. I would buy again and might just do that for my second level.

I decided to take a chance on this new brand and this is a good vaccum for the price! The vacuum doesn’t get stuck much and it makes it way through the house in record time! I don’t think the suction is the best because sometimes there are some things left behind but you could always just run it again to pick up anything else. The app functions well enough but I had to get a new router to get it to work because it isn’t compatible with 5G. I really like how you can assign rooms and keep out zones and schedule cleanings for specific rooms. The app only keeps the most recent cleaning on the main screen and I wish it kept a history of past cleanings. I also discovered that the map gets reset if I move from upstairs to downstairs and that’s a pain! However, the vacuum functions well even without the app. One annoying thing about this vacuum is that if you don’t rescue it promptly after an error message or getting stuck it will turn off and then when you press the button to start it again it will start a new cleaning instead of resuming the current cleaning. I have to untangle the main brush of hair and string fairly often(once a week)and I noticed that the cover for the main brush can be tricky to clip back on. If you don’t make sure it’s secure the brush will fall off while the vaccum continues to run. The auto empty bin is very loud and doesn’t clear items that are heavier than dust like little rocks and crumbs. The remote seems to work ok but the empty bin button flashes red every time I try it. There must be a sensor that doesn’t allow the bin to be emptied until it’s a certain level of full but I would expect the remote to override the sensors. Sometimes the vacuum will make it back to the base to empty the dustbin but then it will wander around the house for a while before recharging. I don’t understand why it does this because the vacuum is already at the base. It probably would be more efficient if the empy bin and charging position were the same. Overall the vacuum does a good job and is more automated than my last vacuum.

I had tried a Roomba i7 before purchasing this and was very unhappy. Although the Roomba had mapping features similar to the Neabot, it continuously lost the map, got stuck repeatedly, and took forever to finish cleaning due to the short battery life. I decided to take a chance on the Neabot although I found some mixed reviews online. I am very happy with my purchase, and I immediately sent the Roomba back.
I absolutely love the auto-empty feature. I have used my vacuum multiple times per day since I have had it for approximately six weeks, and the bag is nearly full in the docking station, but I have not had to change yet. I occasionally check the compartment in the vacuum, and most of the debris is sucked up by the emptying dock. The brush has had to be cleaned every couple weeks of hair, but is easily removed and includes a tool for cutting the hair to make it easier to clean.
The app gets a 4 out of 5 due to some language translation issues, but once you figure it out, it works very well. You are able to define separate areas in the app, and designate areas to not be vacuumed, or to be vacuumed twice. The scheduling works very well. I have it vacuum the most heavily used room 3 times per day, the entire first floor 3 times per week, and other areas daily. The vacuum always runs on schedule, and after adding no-go zones, it never gets stuck. The best part is that the battery is large enough that the entire first floor can be cleaned at once. With the Roomba, it had to stop vacuuming and recharge before finishing. The Roomba took nearly 5 hours to complete a cleaning, where the Neabot complete the entire floor in about 80 minutes.
For the price of this unit, and the features, I highly recommend. I am overall extremely satisfied with my purchase and would definitely purchase again. Please be aware that although there are other manufacturers that appear to sell the same vacuum, I tried the Honiture version and the software is much worse. I would recommend this over Honiture based on the ability to define irregular shapes of spaces in the Neabot which you cannot do with the Honiture.

The vacuum has three suction settings and we found it needs to be on the highest setting for our hardwood and tile floors. We have a dog and two kids so there is always dog hair or crumbs to be picked up and our neabot keeps us from having to constantly sweep. The bags are big enough to last us about 3 – 4 weeks under normal circumstances but during shedding season for our dog that gets cut in half. For us it is well worth the investment to cut our time spent cleaning to a fraction of what it was. I did get a little irritated by their website being down but if you reach out to the company on social media, they quickly respond with a link to buy replacement parts. As long as you keep up with the maintenance at the suggested intervals, it is pretty easy to clean up. During the initial mapping make sure the floor is picked up and it will probably need a few hours and possibly a charge in the middle of it. I have about 2,000 sqft that I have mapped for my vacuum and I have never had it run out of battery in the middle of the cleaning. I split my area in half and alternate days with a few overlapping high traffic areas. Overall we are very satisfied with the product.

Neabot mapped my entire house in just twp pass in the first week. It is so cool to track the route of the bot on the app as it cleaned and mapped the house. The reason I was so impressed by this is because my other robot vacuums had problems mapping my house. Mostly because it could not complete the task in one battery cycle so after going back and charging it has to start again. I am abIe to draw rectangles in the map to have bot clean only in a specific area and automatically go back to it’s charging dock afterwards. You can add barriers and no go zones to manipulate where the bot cleans or where not to clean. This is awesome because I like to clean my rugs every day and my hard floors every other day. Also, the remote control can help you fix the map if you had issues.
